Story
This is Brock, he is a 8 year old German Shepard shar-pei and he is the sweetest and most easygoing dog. Me and my wife are expecting our first baby in June and moving to a different state in July. We are looking for a family that can give him unconditional affection and attention. We have had him since he was a puppy and it is very hard to let him go, but it is in his and our best interest. He is great with kids and other dogs (he gets defensive with other dogs on a leash sometimes but will listen to corrections and has never gotten in a fight with a dog or showed any aggression towards a person) he does need to have an introduction to other dogs and he will have to get used to them but he grew up in a home with foster dogs going in and out and never had any issues. He has all of his shots and is neutered. He is very well trained to simple commands, house trained, and crate trained.

Story
Alexis is a stunning, purebred German Shepherd with a loyal heart and so much love left to give. She has been cherished since she was a young puppy by a devoted dad who is now facing one of the hardest decisions of his life. Due to serious health challenges and a move closer to medical care, he can no longer keep his beloved girls—and he is absolutely heartbroken. At Critter Cavalry Rescue, we made him a promise: Alexis will find a safe, loving home where she can thrive and be treasured just as she deserves. Alexis is a beautiful girl who could benefit from losing about 20 pounds, and she’s ready for a fresh start filled with healthy routines and fun activity. She’s smart, affectionate, and enjoys both playtime and relaxing at home with her people. She has lived with children and other dogs and does wonderfully—but she will need a cat-free home. She especially loves playing with her Blue Heeler sister, Sassy, and has been a constant, loyal companion. Now it’s her turn to find a family who will give her the same unconditional love she has always given. Alexis is ready for her next chapter—a life filled with walks, companionship, and a family who will keep the promise we made to her dad: that she will always be safe, loved, and secure.   If you feel that pull in your heart, please reach out.   Email: ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Be sure to include your city and state when inquiring.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 5, 2026, 9:29 pm

Story
Meet Thor Thor is a gentle, soulful German Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws—and a story that will stay with you. This incredibly sweet boy was found all alone, slightly underweight, wearing a collar with his name, but no number to tell anyone where he belonged or how he ended up fending for himself. No way to trace his past… just a quiet, kind soul waiting for someone to notice him.   Despite whatever he’s been through, Thor has nothing but love to give.   He appears to be in his golden years, with a soft dusting of gray on his muzzle that only adds to his quiet, dignified beauty. Thor doesn’t ask for much—just to be near you. He will gently follow you from room to room, content just to lay nearby, finding comfort in your presence. After being alone, it’s clear that what he wants most in this world is companionship.   Thor is house-trained, doesn’t jump, and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him such a peaceful presence in the home. He gets along well with other dogs, and his current foster home has a cat—he has peacefully coexisted, showing just how gentle and respectful he truly is.   On leash, Thor can pull a bit and will need some gentle guidance—but truly, he just wants to stay close and go wherever you go.   There is something incredibly special about this boy. Maybe it’s his resilience, maybe it’s his quiet devotion—but once you meet him, you’ll understand. Thor isn’t just looking for a home… he’s looking for someone to love, someone to belong to, and someone who will never let him feel alone again. PLEASE CONTACT Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    If you have room in your heart and your home for a loyal, gentle companion, Thor is waiting for you.

Story
Phoenix is insanely playful and energetic. She would do really good in a home with no kids, and people who are okay with either putting her away with company, or don’t have too much traffic in and out of the house. She is not a fan of people, and it’s been since she was a puppy. She knows sit, down, come, and place. She has done lots of training to help with reactivity towards dogs and people on walks, and has made huge strides. She will need someone who is capable of reinforcing training.

Story
We got Ranger from Portsmouth Humane Society and he is approximately 7 years old! Extremely well behaved dog and great with kids! House trained. Okay to stay alone in the house, never gets into anything and has never had an accident. I hate to rehome, but he deserves someone who can devote more time to him. He is a fantastic, loyal, dog.

Story
Meet Sara — Your New Best Friend in a Perfectly Trained, 45-Pound Package of Love At just 20 months old, Miss Sara is already proving to be the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog everyone hopes for—smart, affectionate, eager to please, and now… beautifully trained. Originally adopted as a puppy, Sara was very loved—but when her owner sadly fell ill and could no longer care for her, everything changed. She returned to us with a heart full of love, but without the manners every young pup needs. We knew this girl had potential, so off she went to a professional 3-week training program… and wow, is she showing off. &#226&#156&#133 Training? She’s nailing it. &#226&#156&#133 People? She adores them. &#226&#156&#133 Dogs? Instant besties. &#226&#156&#133 Kids? She belly-crawls just to be close to them—it’s beyond precious. We believe she’s a Dutch Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 45 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat and a heart that beats for human connection. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines—and yes, ready to go! Now, she’s just looking for a home that can match her devotion with love and guidance. Toys are her jam, and she’ll happily entertain herself or join you for a game of fetch. No kitties for this girl, please! Chasing them is just too much fun, and she needs a cat-free home to thrive. Sara is the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world. Her loyalty is unmatched, her spirit is bright, and her readiness for her forever home couldn’t be clearer. Interested in giving this beautiful girl her happily-ever-after? Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com today. Let Sara show you what love, intelligence, and a second chance can really look like. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
