Story
Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans.  This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall.   We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them.  He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company.  He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs due to early starvation. Handsome Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time.  This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner.  He would love to cuddle with you and be your adored companion.  He has such potential…..such love and such a need to grow and evolve into a fine companion in life.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in this big baby!  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Gemma is our super smart and happy German Shepherd girl that is a real gem of a dog. This girl is 6 years old and weighs in on the smaller side of a GSD at just 60 pounds.  She is a genuinely curious and happy girl that has all the right measures of playfulness and lazy cuddly time to her personality.  Her favorite things are stuffed toys and tennis balls. This girl is a 'chill' girl and loves to take lots of naps during the day. She has great manners, knows basic commands, is crate trained and housebroken.   She would do great in a home with or without other dogs but we are told that she is a NO CAT type of dog.  She would like to hang out with children older than 10 years of age and on the calm side.  Gemma is ready to find her forever home where she can greet you with her tail wagging and a happy face that lets you know you are important in her life.   If you are interested please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.  October 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
PLThis beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd/kelpie mix girl is called Zelda and she is very special. This 50 lb girl endured ending up in a shelter sometime ago and was adopted out but spent the entire next year in the basement of the home of the adopter. How sad that she escaped the bondage of a shelter kennel and ended up in the dark basement hidden away and almost forgotten. She is now enjoying the love and nurturing of a foster home and family who are giving her the best of life while we wait for a new family to discover her. She is cray trained and housebroken and does beautifully with other dogs. Zelda has much of the German Shepherd traits in her personality and obviously those will include extreme intelligence, undying love and devotion to her owners, activity and exercise needed and a fenced in yard will round out the requirements for this girl. She is going to be someone's very special best friend forever. If you were interested in having a smart intelligent beautiful dog in your home and family life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.comEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
How about this beautiful white purebred German Shepherd girl named Lexi being your next BFF? This gorgeous white pure German Shepherd girl is 6 years old, 83 pounds and she is a protector of your family. She is loving and very well trained with a love for playing ball and also going for car rides.  This girl has an Independent nature and you really need to be smarter than this gorgeous girl.  She is thinking all the time and her mom is having to allow her to be rehomed due to the death of her husband and her not able to care for land and house and all 3 dogs as a single woman on a limited income.  She is working two jobs and the dogs are not receiving the attention that they are used to.  It was a tragic and sudden death which has left this human mom devastated to have to give up her three girls.  If you are interested in making Lexi your very own please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   She is the best dog and has impeccable manners and housebroken. Spayed and up to date on all shots and microchipped, this girl is deserving of a new forever and ever home. SLADE - 7 years old, over 100 pounds, adult home only, no other pets, heartworm positive, but shelter is starting treatment.         *He is a big boy who will need an experienced owner.              *He has his quirks and we're going to disclose them right now.                  *He gravitates towards one person and is slow to warm up to others.                      *He has shown signs of guarding toys and food and is nervous with loud noises and vacuums.    Slade is also loving and protective.      *He is smart and learns quickly.          *He enjoys attention and petting from his person.             *Slade is house trained although he has had accidents when given human food.                 *Slade loves to go for walks and he will definitely turn a few heads with his shepherd gait and long fluffy fur.                      *Slade is playful but can be vocal when playing.   Please do your research on gsd's before considering this boy.    If you are experienced with the breed and looking for a new buddy, come on out to meet him.      *He is currently in a back kennel so if you don't see him, please just ask.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 6:29 pm
