Story
Gabby (as we call her) was dumped at a local kill shelter along with her 7 pups. Thankfully our wonderful volunteer stepped up to foster. Gabby was heartworm positive and had to be treated and now she is very healthy and ready for her forever home. She is fostered with other dogs big and small and loves the little girl she is pictured with as well as any other human she meets. Her foster mom says she is the perfect girl. No bad habits and us crate and house trained. She is a calm and laid back girl thankfully as her foster mom is almost 80. She loves to fetch and go for walks and rides and will make a great addition to any home ready for a large active dog. Her foster mom says she is just perfect and anyone who adopts is very lucky. if are interested in adopting our sweet Gabby, please visit FunnyFarmpets.org so you can read all about our Tennessee based rescue and how the adoption and transport processes work. You can submit your application to adopt at the following link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Her adoption fee will be $325, if Transport from West Tennessee is necessary that would be an additional $200 charge .

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Phoenix is a 9 year old German Shepherd mix who lived his whole life in one home before being sadly surrendered due to a change in family circumstances he had trouble coping with. He's an affectionate, intelligent, playful boy who attaches quickly and loves loves loves his person. His previous owner described him as her shadow and she was not wrong! He also enjoys the company of other medium and large sized dogs, but generally likes to be the boss of the relationship. He has not been tested with small dogs. While he has never lived with cats before, he has been pretty accepting of the dog savvy cat in his current foster home. He may chase cats that run or otherwise react to him though. Phoenix is very food motivated, knows several commands, and walks well on a leash. He is also already housebroken and making big strides in crate training after only a few days in his foster home. Per his previous owner, Phoenix is reactive to children playing and would do best in a quiet, breed experienced, adults only home. He has also been diagnosed with kidney disease and is on daily medication and special food to help keep him at his best. Fortunately, being the snack lover he is, he's extremely easy to medicate and gobbles his pill right down with dinner. Phoenix additionally struggles with separation anxiety, but we are hopeful he will continue settling down as he adjusts to all his recent life changes. This sweet boy deserves a new home to call his own, and he will pay you back with all the devotion in the world. If you think he'd be a good fit, please apply. Experience with the breed preferred. *This dogs adoption fee is $175Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. November 5, 2024, 11:25 pm

Story
Alex is a German Shepherd/Hound mix. He one of six left behind from a large litter. He was owner surrendered to BHS due to the owner could not find homes for all the puppies. He was born June 18, 2024. Alex has a copper tone look about his coat. The sun really brings out the copper shine. He appears to be one of the smaller pups in the litter. He has been with his siblings since birth and is now ready to have a family of his own. When out in the open yard he is very attentive to his foster mom. He comes when called and does not wander far. He is smart and is eager to learn. He is a puppy and does need to get plenty of exercise. He would do well with children that understand getting puppy jumps and nibbles. He gets along with other dogs. He has not been around cats but yet he is young enough to be trained to enjoy a cat's company. If you are looking to add a pup growing to large size and would become your best friend, Alex is the one for you. He has been dewormed, microchipped, on preventive for flea/tick, and has received the Distemper-Parvo combination vaccine. Until Alex is neutered, he is not available for adoption outside of the counties contiguous to Bedford County.
