Story
Ghost is a strikingly handsome young boy with a strong personality and a heart full of love to share! This confident pup knows what he wants, and he’ll fit perfectly into a home that appreciates his independence and zest for life. Ghost loves being around people and kids, and his playful spirit shines when he’s out and about with his human friends. Ghost does best with female dog companions and would thrive in a home without cats. His ideal family is one that loves to stay active and can match his adventurous energy. If you’re the kind of family that enjoys hiking, jogging, or exploring the outdoors, Ghost will be your loyal sidekick every step of the way. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning, and he’d love a family dedicated to continuing his training and mental enrichment. If you're ready to welcome a bold, spirited pup into your life, Ghost is ready to be your loyal, lifelong friend! To add Ghost to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2218341##

Meet Ranger!Observed by shelter staff:Ranger is an 8 year old neutered German Shepherd mix! Ranger is an independent fellow who is content being around people but does not require constant attention or affection. He enjoys being outside but does not appear to enjoy the company of other dogs and would probably chase a cat. He is treat-motivated and could use some basic training. Ranger is an old guy and the shelter is really rough on him. He would benefit from a foster home if you are not able to adopt! Weighs 72 pounds $25 to adopt

Story
Meet this sensitive girl whose heart is bigger than her adorable ears. She is estimated to be a 2 year old German Shepherd Dog. She LOVES to play (and play and play). She's an affectionate goofball with endless enthusiasm who deserves to live her greatest adventure yet. Roxy can be shy/fearful with new people. She is very friendly when people give her the time and space to go at HER pace to get comfortable. When someone imposes themselves on her quicker than what she feels safe with, she may fearfully react. Roxy's foster parents will work with her new family to have a smooth, low-stress, incremental transition for her so that everyone is set up for success. In order to be considered as the future protector of her heart, below are the must-haves: -A fenced-in yard with plenty of open space -An active home with at least 1 other active dog to help her burn energy and save both your and her sanity -Someone home most of the day -A 'controlled' environment that does not have 'strangers' going in and out. See more about Roxy here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_m4RvCK0JoDogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Roxy's adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Roxy, or another CAWS animal, please fill out an application here: http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
Hello! My name is Mav and Im a 5-6 year old Shepherd mix and I'm such a good boy. I am crate trained, but I am trustworthy to be left in the house when gone and I prefer that. I don't mark and have never had an accident. I get along great with kids. I am great with most dogs and possibly with dog savvy cats. I am a big guy and love to play fetch or with toys, so having a yard would be best. I'm such a smart boy with medium energy. My foster family takes me on a daily short walk, provides me toys, and throws the ball a few times per day in the backyard and I am good. Most of the time, I walk well on a leash, but due to my past history that I am working through, I can be reactive to other animals including humans that I haven’t been introduced to outside of my home. If they are invited into my home, I know they are okay. I have a custom muzzle that allows my mouth to fully open and allows all the sniffs. It has really helped me get closer to people outside the house and know that strangers and animals can be trusted again. Once I know you, I’ll love you forever, but I am protective and guard instincts are strong. Do you think you could let me love you and see my protective instincts as an asset? I would be so grateful and the most loyal companion. To meet Mav, fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
