Manuel 801-690-1393We are looking to re-home our German Shepherd. Her name is Gracie. She just turned 7. She is a very playful, sweet dog that is great with kids. She is 100% shepherd. Between our careers and now our kids playing comp sports we just don’t have the time she requires. We are super sad but it’s definitely to give her a better life.

Story
Rainy is the happiest little raccoon-dog I have ever met! At an adorable 34 lbs at an estimated 2 years old, Dumpling is an itty-bitty shepherd mix of some sort. In rescue, age and breed are observations, never guarantees, but it is especially true with Rainy because from what we all observe, she could be a raccoon shepherd! She has the absolute cutest combination of features and a playful personality to match. Take a look for yourself https://youtu.be/5wiolJQ6E6U Rainy is incredibly sweet with people and loves to give the most heartwarming hugs and kisses. She would be the perfect couch buddy for a family ready to shower her with love and a few squeaky toys. Rainy is a happy friendly girl and will be an easy best-friend. When it comes to other dogs, Rainy enjoys their company but given her absolute love of people she could easily be happy as a solo dog. Rainy could coexist peacefully, especially if she also has a doggy friend to keep her focused. Her easy connection with the dogs she met were the calm and respectful type who enjoy play but are not pushy. Rainy is polite when setting boundaries with other dogs and offers gentle corrections if they get too pushy. If you have a cat, the same personality traits are there and we could see her peacefully coexisting with a feline-friend. Rainy’s compact size and friendly personality make her a great fit for an apartment or a home with a yard—she’s flexible as long as she gets love, exercise, and plenty of cuddles. She is loving, playful, and will thrive in a home where her gentle, affectionate nature is appreciated. Whether she’s playing with a toy, giving hugs, or snuggling on the couch, Rainy is ready to bring endless joy to her forever family. If you have any questions about Rainy or would like to see if she’s a perfect match for your home, please reach out! We’re happy to help you make Rainy part of your family. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Now Fostered in Philadelphia PA!! Dunkin is a one-year-old shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a mind sharp as a tack. With his adorable ears and impressive “heel,” he’s bound to win you over with his charm. https://youtu.be/F797kVZg1eo?feature=shared Dunkin is a confident and smart boy who thrives on play and interaction. He’s an active dog, making him a perfect companion for walks, runs, and hikes. This boy does great with small and large dogs and will communicate with them when he wants his space. Although he’s not used to lounging on a couch, he’ll happily give you affectionate hugs while you’re seated. Dunkin is highly trainable and walks in an automatic heel most of the time. He knows commands like “sit” and is great on a leash. He is well behaved in various environments, including parks where he remains calm around ducks, other dogs, and people. His focus will be on you and he will check in on his person. Dunkin would thrive in a home with another dog, big or small. But he could be your one and only! He’s great for families or individuals looking for a loyal and active companion. His natural loyalty and gentle nature make him a fantastic addition to any loving home. Dunkin’ would do well with a home with men, women and kids. He might need older kids as he loves to jump right into your lap and nose you for love. He met a 13 year old that he loved and pawed her for attention. Dunkin is a curious boy that loves to explore and smell around. He is crate trained and working on his potty training. Dunkin is great on leash and easy to walk. He is non reactive to dogs and people when out and about. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Look at Nixon and tell me dogs don’t smile! It just isn’t true! The best part is that smile makes his whole face light up and that expression of his matches the way it feels to spend time with him. This dog has a warm ease to him, that slow and steady kind of love. Great in the car, easy-on-leash, steady energy and he honestly makes you feel like the most amazing and important person in the whole wide world. Who doesn’t want that in a dog? Take a look https://youtu.be/Jpn_NGWc-iE If you have ever wanted to be the reason for the sparkle in a dogs eye, Nixon is your boy. His face lights up in a way that can make the good days better and the bad days not so bad. To add to his almost cliche wholesomeness, his foster family shared his love of fetch, if you’re up for it, he is too, but if not, cozy couch time is equally great! Nixon enjoys the company of other dogs, with his most beloved playmate being his brother who is living alongside him in his current foster home. The two of them play just like brothers do, enthusiastically and with an enthusiasm for wrestling that is seriously entertaining to sit sideline for. If there was potential for a perfectly-paired-playmate for him it would be a fun-loving, light-hearted female dog that isn’t going to push too much as he gets settled into a new home but will be ready to play once he is “unpacked.” But honestly, Nixon is equally interested in being your-one-and-only! He has more than two dogs worth of love to give that’s for sure! If you are a bit of a social butterfly, you and Nixon could be quite the duo! This guy can work a room, greeting guests with a smile as his warm welcome, it is his specialty! When y'all aren’t hosting your neighbors and family and friends, Nixon is ready to be your adventure buddy. With his car rider skills and well-mannered leash skills, whether it's errands or a weekend getaway, this boy is ready! All those cutesy cafes, hiking trails, and dog-friendly camping spots points you have saved for someday…well with Nixon, today will be everyday! An ideal home for Nixon is flexible, he is an apartment/condo friendly boy or would be happy with a yard or regular access to open space for a little fetch or laying in the sun. At 57 lbs he is a medium size dog, honestly he barely stands knee high but has a full-size body, his size really adds to his charm. From what his foster has shared he is fully crate and house trained and is quiet in or out of his crate, so small-home living would be great too! Nixon does need a cat-free home, he isn’t considered the most polite boy according to our house cat. If you have watched his profile video you will know why. More than anything Nixon wants to shine for someone who looks at him with the same golden-good heart eyes he has for his people. This boy is smart, treat motivated, attentive, adoring, and a wonderful companion. If any part of Nixon speaks to what you are looking for in a canine-companion, please reach out to kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org she will be happy to help answer any questions to determine if he is the best fit for you and your life.
