Story
Meet Gracie, a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is the perfect mix of affection, playfulness, and devotion. She's an overall confident and happy dog who wants to share her love with you. Gracie loves being outside, going for walks and she LOVES to play. A fenced yard and rousing game of fetch brings her great joy - she'll drop her ball at your feet and gaze at you with those soulful eyes while patiently waiting for you to take your turn. Treats are not a big thing for her but she is motivated by toys. Gracie is a stunning beauty at 65 pounds - she's physically and mentally strong, and needs humans who will continue to teach her how to walk politely on leash and who will keep her brain occupied through mental activities. She sometimes forgets her house manners and will try to get on a counter or other high surface, but she's a good listener who takes correction well. Gracie absolutely loves her people and she promises that you will be the apple of her eye, and asks that she be yours in return. She does not like to share your attention with other animals, and should be the only pet in the home. Gracie is fully house trained and crate trained, and quiet in the house. If you're looking for a canine companion to share your life with, Gracie is ready to become your steadfast and loving friend. To meet Gracie, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Don't let his name fool you, Bunnie is actually a dog ---- a 6-year-old German Shepherd Dog to be precise! True to his adorable namesake, he does bound around the yard like a puppy when he's happy. Bunny is 85 pounds of gentleness, a good boy who loves attention and affection, and is equally playful and easy going. True to his German Shepherd nature, he is protective over his people/person, and will require additional training to help him expand his social circle. Bunny is crate trained and house trained, gets along well with dogs around his size, and is best suited for a home with older children. Cats are unknown. Bunny enjoys regular walks, time in the yard and going for rides in the car. He also loves to be brushed and will nuzzle his head into his people when he wants affection. If Bunny sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Meet this sensitive girl whose heart is bigger than her adorable ears. She is estimated to be a 2 year old German Shepherd Dog. She LOVES to play (and play and play). She's an affectionate goofball with endless enthusiasm who deserves to live her greatest adventure yet. Roxy can be shy/fearful with new people. She is very friendly when people give her the time and space to go at HER pace to get comfortable. When someone imposes themselves on her quicker than what she feels safe with, she may fearfully react. Roxy's foster parents will work with her new family to have a smooth, low-stress, incremental transition for her so that everyone is set up for success. In order to be considered as the future protector of her heart, below are the must-haves: -A fenced-in yard with plenty of open space -An active home with at least 1 other active dog to help her burn energy and save both your and her sanity -Someone home most of the day -A 'controlled' environment that does not have 'strangers' going in and out. See more about Roxy here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_m4RvCK0JoDogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. Story
Hello! My name is Mav and Im a 5-6 year old Shepherd mix and I'm such a good boy. I am crate trained, but I am trustworthy to be left in the house when gone and I prefer that. I don't mark and have never had an accident. I get along great with kids. My family had to return me because they are in the military and moved overseas. I am great with most dogs and possibly with dog savvy cats. I am a big guy and love to play fetch or with toys, so having a yard would be best. I'm such a smart boy with medium energy. My foster family takes me on a daily short walk, provides me toys, and throws the ball a few times per day in the backyard and I am good. I walk well on a leash and I come when called. I also enjoy looking out the window and taking naps. What's not to love? Do you think you could give me some love and a soft place to lay my head? I would be so grateful and the most loyal companion. To meet Mav, fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
Hi! I’m Kona! I moved in with my uncle after my dad passed. He has taught me some basic commands like; sit, stay, come, lay down, and roll over. I have lots of love and am looking forward to giving and receiving that from a good family. I will need a place with a backyard. I may be able to live with another dog, but haven’t had to do that for a while now. I may need time to get used to it and you will need to properly introduce me if you have another dog. I am more of a human dog than a dog dog. I prefer older kids. I do well as an only dog. I am a typical German Shepherd dog. So I am smart. But I have my own personality. Loud thunder and fireworks are scary to me. I will come with all the dog items I’ve received. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Story
Hi, I'm Alexia! I'm a sweet, easygoing, and playful dog searching for my FURever home. I love playing with Jolly Balls, chasing balls and squirrels, working with a flirt pole, napping, and anything that squeaks. I'm food- and toy-motivated, which makes training fun and easy! I've learned many commands, including sit, lay down, wait, bed, kennel, come, touch, up-up, and shake, and I'm working on place, gentle, leave it, watch me, and drop it. I enjoy structured walks, playtime, belly rubs, scratches, and plenty of naps in my dog bed or kennel. I walk well on a leash, ride calmly in the car, and keep my foster home clean and intact. I can be a little reactive with dogs on walks or new visitors but am improving with training. I'd thrive in an active, loving, single-pet home with a fenced yard and someone experienced with working breeds. Bonus if you love fetch, long walks, and belly rubs! Let's create a lifetime of memories together! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 78 Age: 9yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Arlo is a sweet boy with lots of energy. He is super lovable and playful, but he really needs a home with a yard or a very active owner. He is very smart as well. He doesn’t fight with our other dog, but I’ve never seen him in a setting with dogs he doesn’t know. My guess is he’d be playful and friendly.

Story
Meet Newman. Newman came to us from a shelter in Utah, he was on the euthanasia list. He was very detached, he had concrete sores under his dry coat. He is now shiny, his wounds have healed and he is very attentive. We are getting attached and we don't need another dog. He is a one whistle dog and comes when called, even off leash. He is good with cats, dogs, livestock and kids ( he is not even a year old) he knows basic commands and likes to sleep in your bed with you. I don't want him to be an outside dog, he loves his people. He is a German Shepherd blend. If you are looking for your new bestie, let me know! Story
Meet Patsy!Observed by shelter staff:Patsy is a 3 year old spayed German Shepherd mix. Patsy is a friendly gal who loves being outside and playing with a ball. She gets excited when greeting new people and could use help learning not to jump up when doing so. She previously lived with a male dog (Percy) and would do best living with him again or with dogs her same size. She can be dog-selective and has a high prey drive so she should not be with smaller dogs, cats, or any other small animals. She knows the sit command and appears crate-trained.Weighs 67 pounds $25 to adopt

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey there, I'm Gavin! I am a handsome boy and silly creature that will surely capture your heart. I've got a spunky energy and love to cuddle. I weigh about 55lbs and I'll be celebrating my 2nd birthday soon! I'm hoping to do that with my very own forever family. I'm listed as a Belgian Malinois mix, but foster mom says I'm probably more like an Australian Shepherd mix. She's going to send my DNA in so we know for sure, because I feel like a big mystery and we want to solve it! No matter what breed(s) I actually am, I possess an amusing level of energy that guarantees a life filled with joy and laughter. While I can entertain myself quite well, I am seeking someone who can help me become the best version of myself through training. I still need a little help but my foster has complete faith in me and thinks I'm a good boy who's doing his best. I am happy with and without other dogs in the household, and I've been great with canine friends both large and small. However, I am not much of a friend to other cats or birds. I'm great with all the human friends, including children - they are so fun! I am truly happiest when I can embark on daily walks and spend time with my loving family. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Well hello! My name is Indu which is Hindi for moon. I am a 4 year old Dutch shepherd mix who is about 65 lbs. I am a sweet, shy girl who absolutely loves other dogs of all sizes and I mostly ignore cats. I need a family that is willing to be patient with me while I learn to trust people. In the time I’ve been with my foster family I’ve gone from spending most of my time outside or in the other room to sleeping on the bed, asking for pets, getting excited when the humans come home, and hanging out where everyone else is. It might take me a bit to be a confident dog who doesn’t shy away from new people, but I promise I will keep working so hard at it Loud noises and sudden movements kind of still scare me though so I would be best with kids 12 and over. I am house trained and have never had an accident. I know my name and come when I’m called. I’m not a barker and can be trusted to be left out while you’re away. I love walls and am working on not pulling on the leash-I’m just so excited! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! My name is Zilla! I am silly, playful and highly intelligent 2 year old Shepherd mix. I am unsure of new people and dogs at first so a slow approach would be best for me, but once I’m warmed up I love everyone and do well with other dogs. It would be beneficial if I had a dog sibling to help me become more comfortable and learn new things because I am more of a follower, not a leader. I am potty trained, crated trained and have some basic obedience training. My foster mom has been working with me on the stranger danger behavior so someone willing to continue confidence and relationship building training would be a good fit for me. I have not been around small children so older children would be more up my alley as I like to wiggle and play often.
