Lucy is an outgoing, high energy, very loyal, and obedient girl. She loves playing with balls and chewing on Nylon bones or antlers. Shes a very touch chewer so Kong balls and Kong products are usually best for her. She’s ready to hike, mountain bike, walk, go to the park, and swim anytime you want! Shes trained with a beep collar to stay nearby. She will know the moment youre going once you put on your outdoor shoes 😉 Lucy is 8 years old born January 3 2016. She is part German Shepherd, Husky, and Pit. Shes the perfect loving mix and gets along well with all other dogs, cats, and all children. She loves to snuggle and give lots and lots of kisses. She has learned a ton of commands that I would be happy to share with you. Shes such a good girl.

REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER:Gentle, loving and caring. Best in a home with someone that is there most of the time. Enjoys being outside. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Sweet Alina is nervous here; the sooner she can find a home, the better. She would appreciate a relatively quiet home with older, dog-savvy children. It takes her a moment to warm up to you and once she does, she will stick to you like glue! She has a medium energy level and is gentle when taking treats. She’s very scared of cats and neutral toward the other dogs here at the shelter. Weighs 73 pounds; $25 to adopt.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Robotnik is a really fun dog once you get to know him. He isn’t a fan of being behind barriers (fences), but once he’s away from them, his true personality shines! This fellow is SMART! He appears house trained, knows the sit, shake, down and roll over commands and is very intuitive of whomever he is with. He is a bit nervous with reaches over his head; a home with older, dog-savvy children would work best for him. He enjoys playing with toys; especially tug! He does get a bit mouthy when playing though. He likes to sit in our plastic chairs like a person here at the shelter so he can see what’s going on. Robotnik loves people! He doesn’t care much about other dogs; ignores them and is interested in how the cats smell. Weighs 62 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
Say hello to Moana.  This girlie is patiently awaiting the chance to bring happiness and love to her new family. May she continue to thrive and grow, spreading joy and laughter wherever she roam. If you are interested in welcoming one of these precious puppies into your home, we are delighted to offer transport services from Houston to the East Coast and Pacific Northwest every two weeks. This demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that these little ones find a loving and secure environment in which to thrive. The next available date for transportation is right around the corner, once they have completed their puppy shot series, ensuring their health and well-being. For more information on the adoption process and to submit an application, we kindly invite you to visit our website at www.springbranchrescue.org.  Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance.   If we are based in Houston, then how can you see our posts? We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. We do not have a physical shelter. All of our adoptable pets are living with local foster families which will make the transition into your household a whole lot easier.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.   Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue.   ##1983961##

Rhel belonged to my boyfriend before he had to move away. He’s unable to take care of her anymore and I can’t keep her because I already have two dogs and my house is not big enough. She is 3 years old and extremely playful and loves adventures. She needs a little training but she’s good with kids and other dogs.

Story
We got sweet Chewie when he was just a few months old, he is an incredibly sweet boy. He loves adults, gets along really well with other dogs, and does well with cats with a proper introduction. We need to rehome him because he has recently started getting incredibly anxious around children and is becoming aggressive towards them barking and growling. We have a toddler and we think he will do best in a home with no kids. He has never had any issues being in a house with only adults, and with the occasional run in with kids, but being around them every day is too much for him to handle. He loves to cuddle, is completely house trained, and knows a few small tricks. He loves hikes and playing chase but he is also a very chill dog to just sit and have a movie night with. We are so sad to be rehoming him but we know we have to think of the best life for him and for our toddler. He will be a light in your life if you choose to take him in.

Story
Hello there humans! My name's Maverick or Mav for short. I'm a 5-6 years old Shepherd mix and I'm such a good boy. I'm crate trained and potty trained and I get along great with kids. My family had to return me for no fault of my own, because they are in the military and moved overseas. I don't play with other dogs much, so dog parks aren't my jam, but I like to greet them on walks and I'd be good as an only dog or having a doggie sibling that enjoys a little space too. Cats are a no for me. I am a big guy and love to play fetch or with toys, so having a yard would be best. I'm such a smart boy with medium energy. My foster family takes me on a daily short walk, provides me toys, and throws the ball a few times per day in the backyard and I am good. I walk well on a leash and I come when called. I also enjoy looking out the window and taking naps. What's not to love? Do you think you could give me some love and a soft place to lay my head? I would be so grateful and the most loyal companion. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Gracie, a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is the perfect mix of affection, playfulness, and devotion. She's an overall confident and happy dog who wants to share her love with you. Gracie loves being outside, going for walks and she LOVES to play. A fenced yard and rousing game of fetch brings her great joy - she'll drop her ball at your feet and gaze at you with those soulful eyes while patiently waiting for you to take your turn. Treats are not a big thing for her but she is motivated by toys. Gracie is a stunning beauty at 65 pounds - she's physically and mentally strong, and needs humans who will continue to teach her how to walk politely on leash and who will keep her brain occupied through mental activities. She sometimes forgets her house manners and will try to get on a counter or other high surface, but she's a good listener who takes correction well. Gracie absolutely loves her people and she promises that you will be the apple of her eye, and asks that she be yours in return. She does not like to share your attention with other animals, and should be the only pet in the home. Gracie is fully house trained and crate trained, and quiet in the house. If you're looking for a canine companion to share your life with, Gracie is ready to become your steadfast and loving friend. Story
Don't let his name fool you, Bunnie is actually a dog ---- a 6-year-old German Shepherd Dog to be precise! True to his adorable namesake, he does bound around the yard like a puppy when he's happy. Bunny is 85 pounds of gentleness, a good boy who loves attention and affection, and is equally playful and easy going. True to his German Shepherd nature, he is protective over his people/person, and will require additional training to help him expand his social circle. Bunny is crate trained and house trained, gets along well with dogs around his size, and is best suited for a home with older children. Cats are unknown. Bunny enjoys regular walks, time in the yard and going for rides in the car. He also loves to be brushed and will nuzzle his head into his people when he wants affection. Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Willow is a nervous girl here, but when given a few moments, she comes around. She prefers calm, quiet people because she is afraid of fast movements and loud noises. Once she knows you, she will nudge your hand with her nose to be pet! She came with another Malinois (Major) and does pretty well with other dogs; she may need a slow introduction though. She has a slight interest in toys and is afraid of cats. Weighs 32 pounds; $50 to adopt.

Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Major is a very handsome fellow that needs someone to help him with his confidence. He’s nervous around strangers, but warms up when given time. Once he knows you, he will nudge your hand to pet him. He came in with another dog and would benefit going into a home with a confident dog that can help bring him out of his shell. He is not interested in cats at all. Please do your research on Major’s breed if you are considering adopting him. Malinois are typically high-drive dogs that need a lot of mental and physical exercise for at least 2 hours per day. If they don’t get the enrichment they need, they may not make good choices and can be prone to chewing things in the home or finding a way to escape out of the yard. Weighs 51 pounds; $25 to adopt.
