Story
We got Charles when he was about 3 months old (He is 4 years now). The family we got him from were not experienced dog breeders so we think he was poorly taken care of after birth. He took to my wife and I really fast but we noticed he was already aggressive to strangers. We took him to special training after getting his puppy shots taken care of. They let us know he was already showing signs of aggression and that we should give him back if we could. We took him to training pretty regularly for around 4-5 months. Scent, command, leash training, shock collar training. Hes a very smart dog and took well to all the training. But the aggression wad still there. We were able to make him comfortable with both of our families and he's a good boy when he's familiar with everyone around. Next year we're planning to start our family and will have babies in the house. Despite the work we've put in we can't take any chances, but would like to find him an experienced dog owner.

Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Hank is a friendly dog that gives a warm, noticeable greeting. He has a high energy level is very affectionate and would make a great dog for an active person or family with respectful children. He is nervous around the other dogs here at the shelter and would most likely do okay with a dog-friendly dog that is similar to his size; we recommend a meet and greet. He’s a dufus and would probably play too rough and annoy smaller dogs. He is scared of cats, but was also a little interested at the same time. Although he needs some work with his leash manners, he does know the sit and shake commands. Weighs 64 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
Kacey 801-821-9892Mancha is a panda shepherd. Very friendly with all people (a little jumpy out of excitment) . Very dog social but she doesnt like sharing her toys. She tries to chase my cats so she should probably not go to a home where she has access to small critters. Playing ball is her favorite thing to do. She will chase the ball until she drops. Shes done basic obidence training. She would love an owner who is active and can take her hiking, runnings or to play ball often.

Story
Meet Diesel!Diesel is a 3 year old neutered male german sheperd. Diesel is on the smaller side for his breed, and really needs to gain some weight. He can be dog selective and seems to enjoy the company of female dogs more than male. He seems curious about the cats and mostly ignores people unless they have treats. Diesel is highly treat motivated and is snappy when taking them so we recommend older dog savvy children. Diesel knows lots of basic commands, walks well on leash and appears house trained. $25 to adopt. 57 pounds/medium

This confident pup knows what he wants, and he’ll fit perfectly into a home that appreciates his independence and zest for life. Ghost loves being around people and kids, and his playful spirit shines when he’s out and about with his human friends. Ghost does best with female dog companions and would thrive in a home without cats. His ideal family is one that loves to stay active and can match his adventurous energy. If you’re the kind of family that enjoys hiking, jogging, or exploring the outdoors, Ghost will be your loyal sidekick every step of the way. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning, and he’d love a family dedicated to continuing his training and mental enrichment. If you're ready to welcome a bold, spirited pup into your life, Ghost is ready to be your loyal, lifelong friend! To add Ghost to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2218341##
