Story
Meet Cooper Cooper is a stunning and wonderful purebred 3.5 year old GSD. He came from a junk yard two years ago. He is an escape artist. He would do best with a single owner, and could use a job, sport, or some sort of work. He would excel at any assigned task. Cooper was adopted a year ago but sadly, his owner unfortunately experienced medical issues that required him to surrender Cooper back to Lincoln/Cumberland shelter. We met and assessed Cooper, who reminded me a lot of my son's retired military working dog. He will take a bit of time to warm up to a new person, but once he has, in the case of the shelter staff, he is happy and playful. We prefer an adopter to have GSD or Malinois experience. He is not a famly-type pet. Cooper needs a person who understands this type of dog and he needs. His hips look great, and we saw no concerning behaviors. Thank you for choosing rescue.

Story
Sasha is a West Germany imported German Shepherd with German passport. Sasha is sweet and kind with people and kids. Sasha does not get along with other dogs. Sasha has spent the last year with our other Shepherd and has done well with a lot of training. Best as only dog in home. Sasha needs to be on a leash. We have electric fence and she has been great. Sasha is always on alert, likes to bark at other dogs while walking or if they come near our home. Sasha has always been with our daughter since infant. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen health issues, we are unable to provide the attention and time to both our German Shepherds.

Story
My dogs name is Axle he is a pure breed German Shepherd and such a. Good boy. He has a lot of energy and loves to cuddle with a constantly wagging tale ( it’s lethal) we got him at 6 weeks from a pet shop. He broke his leg and had surgery when he was about 6 months and is fully healed. He also has a chicken allergy which has been tough because he lives eating everything. He spends most of his time with our other dog (yorkie). He gets along great with kids I have two one of the main reason is my infant daughter axle shedding is affecting her breathing my son never had an issue (3year old) but not the same for her. We had to separate him and keep him in only one room away from her but it isn’t fair to him. It causes him to be anxious and stressed so then he itches. He deserves a home he can be in freely and not ina crate or sequestered to one room. He is an amazing pup who serves to be loved and taken care of. I’m not asking for money just a home that can give him love and attention

Story
Meet Rocky: Your New Best Friend!Rocky is a charming Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd mix with a beautiful black and tan coat. Rocky is around 11 years old and weighs 54 pounds. Despite his mature age, he maintains a medium energy level, making him the perfect companion for both play and relaxation.Rocky has a gentle and loving disposition. He interacts well with other dogs, regardless of their gender, and shows no signs of aggression over food, toys, or other objects. Until recently, he had been owned by an elderly woman His calm nature makes him an ideal pet for families and seniors alike. He has played with and met children, but because he has not lived with children we think children over age 7 would be best. Rocky does not like cats and is very cat-aggressive, so a cat-free home is a must! All the cats he has met agree. Rocky is crate-trained and is accustomed to morning and afternoon potty breaks, after which he enjoys a bit of outdoor playtime. He exhibits no separation anxiety and remains calm and clean in his kennel. He does well on the leash with no pulling. Rocky would thrive with a loving family or a single adult who enjoys playtime and companionship. Rocky might be the perfect addition to your family if you are looking for a loyal and affectionate companion!Name: RockyBreed: Black Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd DogSex: MaleAge: 11 years  (estimated)Weight: 54lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 7Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: No very cat aggressiveAdoption Fee: $350.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Kylie: A Survivor, A Mama, A SweetheartKylie’s story begins in the harshest of conditions. Rescued from under an abandoned home on a freezing cold day, this gentle soul was not alone—she was found huddled with her eight puppies, doing everything she could to protect and care for them. Kylie’s nurturing instincts kicked in from the moment she became a mama, showing boundless love and devotion to her little ones. Thankfully, she and her pups were given a second chance when they were rescued and brought into the warmth of a loving foster home. Now, Kylie is ready to share her heart with a family of her own. Despite her tough beginnings, she has blossomed into a calm, loving, and sweet dog who thrives in a home filled with affection and companionship. Kylie is great with children, currently staying with a 6-year-old in her foster home, and she has proven to be patient and gentle. Kids also come over and interact with her puppies on a daily basis and she is just great!Kylie is fully crate-trained and willingly enters her crate, making it a safe, cozy space when needed. She’s also housetrained, and although she’s rarely left alone in her foster home, she does just fine when she is. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides, making her an excellent companion for outings. Kylie is not a chewer, so she’s easy to manage indoors, and she’s perfectly content with a routine. One thing to note about Kylie: she is possessive of her food, so she’s best fed separately from other pets. But with this small exception, she is nothing but sweet and loving—always ready for snuggles, belly rubs, and moments of calm companionship.Kylie’s journey from survival to thriving is a testament to her resilience and loving nature. She is looking for a forever home where she can continue to be the wonderful, affectionate dog that she is—bringing joy and warmth to those lucky enough to welcome her into their lives. She so deserves a life filled with attentiveness, long walks and endless affection.Check out her amazing video montages:https://youtube.com/shorts/j2nNz_fV3T8?si=03-nL-0KfFggo1t6https://youtube.com/shorts/IWMtgNsinHc?si=1q-g366O9GQGe9eTAnd her relaxing on the couch with her foster sibling:https://youtu.be/tvHNoRXBI6E?si=sLO-B6kBU6Ig0S4oName: KylieBreed: German Shepherd Dog/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 67 lbs Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: on recent testing Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Meet Ruby King! Ruby is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her love for cuddles. She's great with kids (ages 5+), gentle with elderly folks, and walks beautifully on a leash. Ruby is also housetrained and an excellent traveler, making her a perfect adventure companion.Ruby does have a few quirks—she's not a fan of cats (she'll chase them!) and gets nervous during storms, preferring to snuggle under the covers. But with love and reassurance, she'll always be by your side. Her ideal home?A loving family with or without other dogsA cat-free home Ruby is already spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vet care. Still, she tested positive for heartworms, so she'll need a family willing to continue her treatment.
