MEET GRACE & KATIE, two beautiful, sweet & bonded black German Shepherds! Both of these lovely girls were rescued from a crowded California shelter, and they are very bonded. They have been waiting over a year for a home together. Grace & Katie are good with other dogs and lovely with people. Grace, the mama dog, is about 5-6 years old, and Katie is a 2-year-old girl now and growing up! Both girls have also done fairly well around cats but would need to be monitored. Katie weighs about 60-65 lbs, and Grace weighs about 71-75 lbs. They've waited a long time for a home because we are trying to place them together, so if you can open your home to two dogs, please email for an application. They also need a foster! We also offer discounted adoption fees for pairs.

Story
Hi! I’m Willy! I am a one-year-old, neutered, 45-pound, medium-energy, medium-length-coat German Shepherd mix.I am a friendly and relaxed dog with a playful and clever nature. I have a moderate amount of energy and I am up to date with my vaccinations. From the beginning, my life has been tough. I was mistreated by my previous owner, and my fellow dog siblings chewed off the tips of my ears, probably because I am more submissive. Despite this, I've coped well. I'm a shy boy and will require your guidance and support. I will always look to you for direction and rely on your support. I'm a very tolerant and the bestest boy! I want a confident sibling like my foster mom's American Bulldog Blend. I'm cautious but open to new experiences and people. I need patient and consistent humans who encourage and support me. When I crave your attention and need some affection, I'll roll over and expose my belly. Those who meet my craving for a delicious snack gain my favor. I will swivel my head from side to side whenever I hear an intriguing sound. I’m skilled at engaging in conversations and providing valuable suggestions that I consider worthwhile. I want to show you affection and shower you with kisses.I know the following commands: sit, down, crate, come, off, and HAPPY!  I enjoy both relaxing at home and playing outside. I particularly enjoy going for walks, especially with a confident dog friend. Additionally, I am crate trained and find comfort in my crate when I need some time to myself. Hey there, pals! The name's Calhoun, and let me tell ya, I'm the life of the party! 🎉 I may be a two- to three-year-old, 70-pound Shepherd, but don't let my size fool ya – I'm a big bundle of joy just waiting to find my forever home! 🐾 I've been hanging out in my foster home for a few months now, and let me tell ya, I've got the seal of approval from my foster dad! He's always raving about how sweet and loving I am, and let's not forget my impressive people skills – I can get along with any pup I meet! 🐶 I've got this knack for diffusing any tense situations with my goofy antics – whether it's rolling around, jumping over things, or wiggling my way into someone's space, I'm all about spreading those good vibes and showing everyone that life's meant to be enjoyed! 😄 Check out my personality in action: https://youtu.be/Nl18hewfB5U Sure, I may look a bit awkward sometimes with my long legs and silly behavior, but trust me, I'm as athletic as they come! I love zooming around and jumping for joy – it's like I've got springs in my paws! 🐾 And let me tell ya, my foster dad gets a kick out of watching me run – my joy is just contagious! 🏃‍♂️ I went and visited my friends home with 6 dogs and 2 teens and they said I did fantastic even with 13 pound dogs! I received an A+ But hey, I'm not just a goofball – I've got some serious house manners too! I'm crate-trained, walk like a champ on leash, and I'm all about those car rides. Plus, I adore kiddos – they're like my favorite playmates! 👶 I'm on the lookout for a forever home where I can be a part of the family and go on all sorts of adventures together. Once we bond, I'll be your trusty sidekick – whether we're exploring the great outdoors or just cuddling up on the couch. And hey, I've got great recall, so you can bet I'll stick close by your side! 🌟 So, if you think I might be the perfect fit for your crew, don't hesitate to reach out to my adoption coordinator. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
If you love a classic German Shepherd, want to be adored, and have a dog that you are matchmaking a buddy for... you are right where you should be. If you have an idea of what type of dog a German Shepherd is, then you will know Oobie. Take all that classic German Shepherd, sprinkle a bunch of charm on it and give it a real good looking face and you have Oobie. In rescue we avoid saying a dog is a purebred anything, because who knows, but I would bet good money on Oobie being all 100% German Shepherd. This boy comes preloaded with what I like to call the Deluxe Package which includes auto-sit on top of sit on command, down on command, he is fully house trained, is a solid dogs dog and is a gentleman to cats. As you would expect with a German Shepherd, he is loyal, protective, and loves real big! But this isn’t your “watch-dog,” sure he will make you feel protected but he also has the important role of fluff-exterminator in fluffy toys, and trying to out-race trucks on the other side of the fence. He knows one day he will win the fight against all the fluff and someday the truck will be too slow. Until then he carries on! Oobie has been fortunate to be in a foster home where he quickly fit right in. He easily integrated into a pack of 8 dogs, found his favorite spot where he sleeps all night with no accidents or disturbances, and showed the resident cats, yes multiple, that he may be big but he is big-friend. The only thing he isn’t too sure about is the lawn mower and edger, but he has agreed to only bark from a distance a couple times then go back to loving and lounging. A dream home for Oobie would include room to roam, he loves the freedom and feels obviously proud of his role as a dog with a home and people to keep company and care for. His current foster is a retired couple and we can all see how much Oobie glows living the home life with someone everyday. A homebody, with a bit of land they want kept an eye on, while being adored deeply by a dog is our idea of Oobie’s ideal match. If you happen to be familiar with German Shepherds and they way they “work,” that would be a double-cherry on top of perfection! Other dogs are not needed but if you have them Oobie will be an easy companion. A little insight into Oobie’s role at the rescue before he was with his foster- Oobie was what we call an Assessment dog. This is basically a gold star in the 3LP world, a dog that is so stable and consistent he is used to gauge an in-coming dogs personality towards other dogs. Inviting if they were friendly, neutral if they were unsure, aloof and avoidant if the dog shows signs of being aggressive. Oobie has helped save hundreds of dogs by being such a stable, non-conflict dog. He carved out a huge space in the heart of everyone at the rescue and if we start awarding dogs with our version of a Medal of Honor, we have discussed naming it an Oobie Service award. If you are looking for an amazing dog to add to your pack and/or a loyal and adoring companion to have by your side- Oobie is perfection! If there are any details we didn’t cover or you have questions about the adoption process, let us know! Oobie is available for Greater Houston meet & greets! We are willing to test Oobie with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
🐾 Hello!! 🐾 I'm Gordo "Puppy" Padilla, a beautiful 2-year-old Brindle Shepherd-Pit mix with a heart full of love. I am a rescue, so exact age and breed cannot be guaranteed! I'm gentle and sweet, and every day I'm getting more and more confident. I'm new to leash training, but I'm a very smart boy eager to learn and making great progress with crate training in my foster home. I get along well with other dogs and would love a sibling to play with 🌟 I’m not always my best self with cats. I really like kids but because of my size I would do best playing with older children (5+) and would make a great family dog! When we’re in the house together, I love snuggles and scritches! I’m a super affectionate guy, and physical touch is my love language. My foster mom has house trained me, and I don’t have any accidents in her house! One of my absolute favourite activities is playing with my ball—I'm a fetch superstar! I simply love the water, whether it's swimming, running through sprinklers, or splashing in puddles—these are my absolute favourites. I'd be over the moon to have a fenced yard of my own to play in. I'm very smart and eager to learn, making me a great candidate for daily routines and training. I love treats, and my foster mom even gives me ice cream sometimes! I'd also love to go to the beach with you, learn to paddleboard, or embark on any adventure together! I can't wait to meet you and become the playful, loving addition to your family! 🐾 If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who enjoys fetch and water play, Gordo is the perfect match. We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
