Quick Facts Age: 8-10months Dogs: good with other large dogs Kids: would do fine with older kids (10+) Cats: NO cats Training: needs standard obedience training 1. My backstory is pretty sad. I was severely neglected by an awful person, kept in deplorable conditions, had very little kind human interaction. Thanks to my wonderful foster mom, I was saved and brought into the safety of IDGSR! 2. Since being rescued, I've made a full recovery and am the happiest, most loyal, and oh so loving big boy. I am grateful for love, affection, tummy rubs, and tasty treats. 3. I get along great with other large breed doggos and would love to have a friend to play with. Even tho I'm a big boy, I'm a gentle player. Anyone up for a game of zoomies?! 4. I am very food & treat motivated! I need to learn some nice manners and obedience commands, will you paw-promise to train me? It will help us bond & prove I'm the bestest boy around. 5. I'm a fun loving, affectionate, goofy, friendly, loyal, and handsome guy. I'd love to snuggle up with you on a cold winter night and watch a movie or help you in the kitchen! 6. Story
IDGSR Welcomes FARLEY into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hi, I’m Farley, a 2-3yr old gal, and I’ve been waiting in rescue long enough to earn a punch card. One more month and I think I get a free pup-cup or something? Let’s get this out of the way: I’m GOOFY. Like, trip-over-my-own-paws-while-happy-prancing kind of goofy. But here’s the deal – I’m also house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. I’m basically the full package… if the package includes a party horn and a tennis ball. My ideal home? - Solo dog household - Small dogs & cats = hard nope. I think they’re just squirrels in costumes. - Humans who enjoy laughter, movement, and unconditional love = perfect. So if you’ve been thinking, “I need more joy, less boredom, and maybe a dog that occasionally impersonates a kangaroo,” then congratulations – I’m your girl. Stop scrolling. Start adopting. Let’s turn my rescue saga into a rom-com with a happy ending. **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt? Quick Facts: Age - 1.5-2yrs old Kids - will do fine with older kids (12+) Dogs - good with other dogs Cats - NO cats Training - needs full obedience training 1. All puppies have been adopted, now it's my turn. 2. Being an empty nester, I'm ready to live my best life! Raising a litter of puppies is a lot of work. Will you paw-promise to train me in obedience? I will catch on quick if you have treats! 5. I play great with other dogs and would love a pup friend in my next home. 6. IDGSR Welcomes NOVA into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Nova and I'm a sweet 4-6yr old female Shepherd/Malinois mix gal. I am located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 4-6yrs old Kids - will do fine with older kids (10+) Dogs - good with large male dogs Cats - NO cats Training - needs standard obedience training 1. My story is pretty sad. I was chained to a tree with no interaction, used for breeding. I had my last litter of puppies (all have been adopted) and now it's my turn! 2. My foster mom estimates my age to be about 4-6yrs old. We aren't quite sure but because of my hard upbringing, I have a little more gray on my face. 3. I enjoy taking walks, exploring in the backyard, playing with other large breed dogs, and resting with my foster mom. 4. I would love to find a person/family who will take me on walks, tell me I'm the bestest girl in the world, and show me what a loving family really is. 5. I could benefit from obedience training. I'm a cross between two very intelligent breeds so I'll catch on super quick. Also, training will help us bond! 6. If you are looking for a resilient, loving, friendly, sweet, and loyal new companion - I'm your girl! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! IDGSR Welcomes BEN into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Howdy! My name is Ben, aka Big Ben, and I'm a handsome 5-6yr old male German Shepherd. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 5-6yr old Kids - adult home preferred Dogs - fine with large female dogs or as an only dog Cats - NO cats Training - could use an obedience refresher 1. I've been in the rescue the longest out of all the dogs. I'm not sure why I keep getting looked over. I'm handsome, athletic, and a fantastic example of what the German Shepherd breed is all about. 2. I am fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, and ready to go to my forever home! 3. For a middle aged guy, I'm pretty active. I enjoy romping around the yard, sniffing all the things, and exploring. I'd love to go on walks, runs, or would be content to chill with you. 4. I would do best with someone who has prior German Shepherd experience. I'm a BIG boy, like pushing 100+ pounds. I'm healthy as a horse and have a lot of strength so my adopter needs to make sure that I know he/she is the boss. 5. I'm obsessed with my food bowl. I'll drag it around, spin it around, toss it and catch it. It's a weird obsession, I know, but hey at least I'm self entertained! 6. If you are looking for a BIG handsome, friendly, resilient, athletic, and overall lovely new companion - I'm your guy! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY!
