This sweet & most handsome boy is KING and he's a 8-9 month old Shepherd mix puppy. He's really a lovely boy and you can see in his videos how mellow and respectful he is when he's meeting other dogs. We know he's just a puppy but he doesn't have the hyper puppy energy you see sometimes. He has all the great qualities that make people love Shepherds - smart, loyal, obedient and he's going to be a medium sized dog when he's fully grown (not like a really big GSD). He weighs 53 pounds now so we'd expect him to be 60-65 pounds when he's fully grown. He's perfect for folks who love the Shepherd breed but don't want a really big dog. He's living with a great Foster family now and they share that King has a very sweet disposition and gets along great with everyone he meets....people, dogs AND cats! Yes, cats! You can see the sweetness in his eyes! We just love him and think he'd do awesome with a loving active family. He'd love to go on hikes, walks and play in the backyard. He'd love a doggie sibling but would do fine as a solo pup as long as he gets attention and play time. We would like him to live in a suburban area in a home with a fenced in yard. Say hello to KANE, a majestic 3 year old pedigree German Shepherd! He's a medium sized GSD and weighs 65 lbs although his pics seem to make him look bigger. He has a stunningly beautiful tan and black coat with eyes that show how smart he is and amazing ears that need their own zip code! Kane's Dad was a former explosive k9 handler/trainer and Kane received excellent training and guidance. Unfortunately, his Dad recently changed jobs and now Kane is left alone for long periods of time and spends much too much time in his crate. As a result of that, Long Road Home is helping the family find another loving home so Kane can enjoy the life he deserves with the freedom to play during the day and take long snoozes in the backyard. He knows all his basic commands and loves playing with other dogs. He has the medium level of energy that you'd expect for a 3 year old GSD but listens and is obedient. He loves playing with other dogs and he's great with everyone he meets and loves his 14 year old human sister. He's not the biggest fan of his 2 year old toddler sibling because of the pulling and playing but he has NEVER been aggressive. He just avoids the baby but sometimes that's hard to do when the toddler wants to play with him. :) We think Kane would thrive with a loving family who are familiar with Shepherds and understand they flourish with leadership, guidance and a nurturing home. GSDs are loving and loyal family members and their primary goal is to please their owners. They are super smart so give them a job....and they will get it done!! A family with kiddos who are a bit older would be great because toddlers and babies are too unpredictable and he doesn't love having his mane and tail pulled (neither do we! :) He'd absolutely love a fully fenced yard and a doggie sibling but would be fine as a solo pup if he has engaged and active owners. He's healthy, up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered, totally housebroken and crate trained. All he needs is for his new family to find him! This beautiful boy is MAX and he's a really great dog! He's a 1 year old German Shepherd mix who weighs 60 lbs now although he could easily gain a few pounds. He's always happy and friendly who loves people and gets along so well with everyone he meets including kiddos. He has a beautiful coat but is much more than his handsome looks....he's very smart and as you can see in his videos he has great manners & knows some commands. He walks well on a leash (doesn't pull) and loves taking walks in the neighborhood and isn't reactive to other pups which makes for a very enjoyable walk. He's loves living with the other dogs in his Foster home and we think he'd really enjoy having a doggie sibling. He enjoys going for car rides and would love to go on adventures whether it's to the park, the beach or even Starbucks for a pup-cup! Max is housebroken, crate trained and up to date on all his vaccinations too. We haven't tested him with cats yet. We love Max and we're looking for a great adopter who will love him, share adventures with him and give him a wonderful life. He'd love a fenced yard but would be fine with an active family who can give him lots of exercise and adventures. We have lots of photos and videos of him and have shown some here. Please note that he's shedding his winter coat so his coat looks fuller than it typically is.
