Cubby is a beautiful 1 year old, intact male German Shepherd Dog. He is black and tan in color. He has a great personality! He loves and is devoted to his family. He loves children, he is frequently in the company of our 7 grandchildren. The children range in age from the youngest 18 months to the oldest 15 years old. He does not like cats. We have barn cats and he chases them every chance he gets. He has a strong prey drive. We have 3 small dogs. A Yorkie and two poodle mixes. Two are females and one is a neutered male. He gets along fine with all three of the small dogs. He does not like other un-neutered males. Cubby will challenge them and try to dominate them. Cubby needs a person with Shepherd experience. He is a typical GSD. Very active, extremely intelligent, loyal, loving with his family. Aloof and warey of strangers. He is a great guardian. He knows his job is to protect his territory and family. If he is adopted and it doesn't work out, he can immediately return to us.

Scooby loves the outdoors and loves playing in water. He is always up for an adventure and loves butt scratches. He is crate trained, has fantastic leash manners, understands sit, lay down, no, come here and does wait until you say go to eat his food although there will be some drool. Scooby is very smart, eager to please and will do anything for a treat and to be by your side or sitting on your feet or lap. Calista is a beautiful, crazy, playful, rambunctious 2 year old German Shepherd. Found out in the woods in Rio Grande Valley with her mom and sister fending for themselves and trying to survive the coyotes. She was very skittish when she arrived at the rescue, and at times can still be, but she has come a long way. She gets excited and does a crazy spin in her excitement. She loves playing with other dogs, loves treats and playing with her foster siblings. She really needs a patient person who knows the breed and is willing to work with her and have the dedication to wait until she shows her very silly side :) Her foster mom has learned her secret- treats and smelling like hot dogs/ peanut butter helps! Calista loves other dogs and gets along great with her foster homes pack. She is playful and energetic with them. Sometimes maybe too energetic as she can be an escape artist and find even the smallest of holes in the fence to see if she can fit and make a b-line to the neighbors house! Calista will need to stay local to Texas for the time being. Each day she is gaining confidence and understanding and realizing that people are not all mean and that there ares some out there that really do love dogs and want nothing but goodness for them. If you think you are ready to give Calista love, attention and help her build trust and confidence in herself and you then please apply! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)

Meet Tempe! Tempe and her siblings came to us in very rough shape, skinny little babies who needed a kind and understanding heart to show them that not all people are bad. Through lots of love and care (and plenty of kibble!) We were able to get all of her litter back into good shape, happy, and growing. Tempe herself is a great dog: very loving, friendly and energetic. She gets along well with people, children and other dogs. Could probably use some more exposure with cats. She's a water dog! She loves playing and drinking water, but she drinks on her own terms. Tempe has done really well at our local adoption events but is still looking for her forever family!
