Hi there! I’m Stevie, a 10-month-old, 50 lb German Shepherd/Husky mix and if you think that sounds like a whole lot of fun wrapped in fluff, you’d be right! My foster family says I have a playful personality and those adorable husky-like mannerisms that make me so entertaining to watch so it's not surprising I turn heads everywhere I go. But my favorite thing is turning hearts into mush. I was rescued from Georgia, where life wasn’t always easy for pups like me, but those days are behind me now. I’m all about love, playtime, and new adventures. No matter what I’ve been through, I’ve stayed happy, gentle, and full of hope. I’m a big fan of belly rubs, hanging on the couch, and playing fetch. Bonus points if you cheer for me when I bring the ball back! I’ve got that adorable “Husky talk” thing going on, so I might share a little chatter with you, but it’s more conversation than commotion. I also ride great in the car! Here’s a little bit more about me: *House-trained — I go to the door to let you know when it’s time to head out. *Crate-trained — throw me a treat, and I’ll trot right in; no stress here! *Leash-trained — I walk nicely and get so excited (in a friendly way!) when I spot new people or pups because I'm a socialite. Even if another dog barks, I don’t fuss; I just do my “wanna play?” bow! *Kid and stranger friendly — I welcome love from everyone I meet, am well-mannered, and gentle for my young age. He's food-motivated, picks up training fast, already knows "sit" and "come," and will wander into his crate on his own just to relax with a frozen Kong. He is house and crate trained. He walks great on leash and enjoys car rides too. After a good training session or walk, he crashes into full-body naps complete with adorable snoring. He’s just picked up a new favorite pastime in foster care…hiking! Samson responds really well to the positive reinforcement training he’s receiving in his foster home. He responds intelligently to gentle correction and is a fast learner…typical of this smarty pants breed! He's also a certified Velcro dog. He thrives on connection with his people! Pabst is a 2-year-old, 50 lb German Shepherd mix with an adorable stubby tail and a heart full of love. Her brother Modelo arrived at our rescue first, and now Pabst has joined him — bringing her sweet and playful personality along. Pabst was surrendered with five other dogs. She’s a friendly, affectionate girl who loves attention and isn’t shy about greeting you with a hug. When introduced to a toy, she lights up, happily trotting around the interaction pen while keeping it close — trading it for a treat but always running back for it again. She is good with kids, although might be best with older or considerate children as sometimes she snatches treats quickly though her foster is working on this with her. She would also do best in a home with another confident dog to show her the ropes. She currently has a pup foster sibling and is doing amazing with them. Pabst is both house-trained and crate trained. She is incredibly smart and does well when given mental stimulation as well as physical exercise; she does love being outside especially swimming! She knows "sit" and comes when called. She is working on "paw" and "lay down." A quiet dog, Pabst rarely barks. Pabst does not get into any mischief at night but sometimes during the day she may grab clothes to make her own personal nest out of if she is bored. Her foster once lost a glove and asked where she had left her glove and Pabst immediately retrieved it from where it was forgotten. With more training, Pabst could really thrive with her skills.
