Raggedy Ann 's Story Meet Raggedy Ann 🐾💔➡️❤️ Raggedy Ann is a beautiful female German Shepherd, about 3 years old, who was found alone in the woods and clearly hasn’t known the care she deserved. She came to us in rough shape—thin, with severe skin issues, and evidence of long-term neglect. Despite all of that, she is nothing but sweet, gentle, and loving. She is currently on antibiotics for her skin (2 more weeks) along with weekly medicated baths. We are very hopeful this treatment will resolve her skin issues. However, if she does not improve, she may require additional medical testing (such as allergy or autoimmune testing). ✨ What we are looking for: • A foster who can give her a quiet, loving place to heal • Or an adopter who understands her situation and is willing to take on any future medical responsibility if further testing is needed 👉 Important to know: • If Raggedy Ann is adopted, any further testing beyond her current treatment would be the adopter’s responsibility • If she goes into foster, the shelter will continue to cover medical care to an extent Our biggest goal is to get her out of the kennel. Waiting two more weeks in a loud, stressful shelter environment could really impact her mentally—we don’t want that for her. We adopted Saint from Father Johns Rescue and he is now 4 years old. Shortly after adopting Saint we became pregnant with our first child and it is very difficult for us to provide him with the physical activity, space, and attention that he requires. Saint is around 120 pounds and we would love to find him a home where he has more space to run and play. He is a good dog and deserves a family that can give him a happy life.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Gloria is with our rescue partner in Louisiana and will be heading to NJ on 1/10. This sweet little survivor was found with her sister by animal control. They were at risk of euthanasia simply due to lack of space until they were helped by a couple. Even though their situation wasn’t ideal afterward, Gloria never lost her joyful spirit or her love for people. Gloria is a happy, active girl who adores everyone she meets, both dogs and humans. She has lots of puppy energy and would benefit from basic command training to help channel her enthusiasm. We are currently working on her kennel skills, and she is learning more every day. If you are looking for a loving, playful companion who is ready for her fresh start, Gloria is your girl. Gloria is up to date on vaccines and is fixed. Her adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Carrots is an owner give up to our rescue. Below is the information her owner gave us initially. I have had Carrots for almost two years now. She has been the most amazing friend I could have asked for. She rarely barks and only lets out an occasional whine if she needs to go out or is wanting some attention. She’s a well behaved for a dog that lives her life with me in a small dorm and can only go out to play fetch or go for a walk when I’m not at class or work. She needs better. In general, she has been amazing for the hand she’s been dealt. I actually couldn’t be more grateful for how well she’s treated me as she’s grown to be near a full two years old!! I am having to part with her because she is still a puppy, and I’m a Junior in college struggling to work and commute on weekends when I have to, and give her the attention she deserves. She’s trained well. She sits on command, she can stay if you ask, she’s house trained, and she’s comfortable with her kennel if needed. She uses a harness for walks and does great. She was trained to walk on the left of you and she’s usually pretty good about staying focused. She has started the process of being an ESA certified dog but has not rec'd her second certification. Her previous owner said that she was around a child once and growled so we do not recommend her with small children. She has never been around cats so we cannot say whether she will or will not be okay arounds feline friends. She would make a great family member for an active family. Princess is an approximately 3 year old spayed female shepherd mix that desperately needs a home. Her owner was unable to continue to feed her, and a neighbor stepped up to help care for Princess but they are not able to care for her long-term. Princess is good with other dogs, and after having multiple litters of puppies before getting spayed, she is very maternal. She is friendly with strangers but will let you know when they come into the yard! Princess appears to be house-trained and is non-destructive when she comes inside the house at night to sleep. Once she knows where “home” is, she is not one to wander and sticks close to where her people are. Princess is fully vaccinated but is unfortunately heartworm positive.
