Story
Meet Marge! Heyyy friends! My name is Marge, and I’m a GORGEOUS shepherd girl looking for my forever home! I had a bit of a rough start—I was found after being hit by a car. Luckily, I didn’t break any bones, but I was pretty sore. Now, I’m all healed up and ready to find my perfect family! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my people and am always eager to please! I’ve been working hard on learning new things, and not to brag, but my friends say I’m VERY smart! Got some cheese? I’ll happily show off my tricks—touch, sit, lay down, and more! Since I’m a typical shepherd, I’d do best with someone who understands my breed and is ready to keep my sharp mind busy. Shepherd experience is preferred! Think we’d make a great match? Apply today to meet me—I can’t wait to love you forever! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  Marge has a Virtual Valentine :) Thank you Shannon Kenyon We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. February 11, 2025, 10:11 pm

Story
MEET GRADY: **Dog Adoption Profile: Grady** Age: 2 months  Weight:13 lbs  Breed: German Shepherd Mix   Grady's journey began when he was found abandoned in a box at a business door, wrapped in dirty blankets. Scared and cold, he was rescued but unfortunately could not stay with his finder. Despite this rough start, Grady has shown resilience and a sweet disposition. Grady is a loving and affectionate puppy who craves the companionship of his people. He thrives on being close to others and has a strong desire to bond with a family. His playful and eager nature reflects his puppy stage, and he is curious about the world around him. Grady is currently working on his house manners and crate training. As a young puppy, he is learning how to navigate the world, which includes chewing and exploring with his mouth. He will need guidance and patience as he continues to develop these important skills. As a German Shepherd mix, Grady is an active breed that requires regular exercise and mental stimulation. He needs an active family who can provide him with the adventures and engagement he craves. Tethering is not recommended for him, as he would thrive best in an environment where he can explore freely and interact with his family. Grady is good with other dogs and has also shown a positive demeanor towards cats. He would benefit from further socialization experiences to help him grow into a well-adjusted adult dog. Grady would do best in a home where someone is available more often than not to assist with house training and socialization. Ideally, he would thrive in a family with dog-savvy children who can understand and respect his needs as he grows. He would benefit from an experienced adopter who can provide him with the guidance required for a working-class breed. This journey will involve training, socialization, and lots of love. His new family should be ready to provide a lifetime of adventures, love, and support as he matures into a large and handsome shepherd. Grady will go home in foster-to-adopt status with his new family until his neuter surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clinton Twp, Sterling Heights, Clawson, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable. If you're looking for a sweet, eager-to-learn companion who will bring joy and energy into your life, Grady could be the perfect addition to your family! Please consider giving him the love and home he deserves. Grady is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedWill be scheduled to be spayed at our partner Veterinary office at 6 months of age (included in the adoption fee).ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI.
