Indiana is a beautiful loving, and playful 5-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix. My elderly mother is moving into the home. She is unstable and needs assistance, so having him in the home when caregivers come and go is not feasible as some are afraid of larger dogs. She has also let him out into the neighborhood in the past, and scared some neighbor's kids (unpleasant situation), and the neighbors are now not fond of him. These are the reasons we need to find him a new home. He is playful and sometimes aggressive with dogs, but not mean. He has never attacked and bitten another dog or human. He can act dominant over some other dogs which has scared other dog owners, as he can be loud and aggressive in displaying dominance. He has been trained but his adherence has sometimes been sporadic if his attention is pulled away. I recently purchased a $600 Halo collar and trained him on that which has been very effective for obedience, but not tested fully on fence feature.

Harbor is a beautiful, sweet pup, 15 months old, Purebred with AKC paperwork. She needs a home where there is room for her and also a pet parent who has experience with Shepherds and training them. She was adopted as a young pup to someone who should not have had a dog. He lived in an apartment and had no dog experience. He went to training but thought the training was for the dog and not for him. Experienced pet owners of well behaved pets knows it's the pet parent that gets trained but not the dog they train by the trainer. Haikou is a smart dog, we are needing a non smoking home with room to move in the yard and a pet parent who has the time for a dog. She's a beautiful dog only about 45 pounds right now. I tend to become overwhelmed easily, and the shelter environment is, well, rather overwhelming. So I'm looking to be rescued ASAP by a patient and understanding human; someone who's prepared (with a pocketful of snacks, ideally) to help me keep my cool when I'm venturing outside my comfort zone. I'm a fun-loving dog who loves to play chase, so a home with cats wouldn't be a good fit for my exuberant personality. If you've got the skills to read both my subtle and not so subtle body language, I'd love for you to be my guiding light. Being a 1-year-old German shepherd, it goes without saying that I have an overabundance of energy as well as a brilliant mind. If you're a human with an active lifestyle, I want in on it. Hi! My name is Rusty, and I’m a big, sweet shepherd mix looking for my forever home. I have just the right amount of energy—not too lazy, but not bouncing off the walls either. I’ve proven to be the perfect jogging partner and would love to come home afterward to curl up on the couch with you! I’m mostly potty trained when given frequent breaks and don’t exhibit any destructive behaviors. When I’m indoors, I’m mainly interested in napping. I would also make a great watchdog, as I’m very alert to my surroundings. My favorite activity here at FMAR is playing fetch with tennis balls in the yard—I could play for hours! I’m also a great walker when using a nose loop, especially with a bit of encouragement from my handler. Even though I’m a big boy, I’m really just a big baby at heart! I would thrive in a moderately active home where I can get some exercise and enjoy cuddle time on the couch with my family.I prefer a calmer environment so a home with children aged 9 years and older is perfect for me. I’ve gone on pack walks and played with other dogs here, but I prefer those that are just as interested in playing with me. This means I could potentially go home with a dog brother or sister, given we have a proper introduction. Due to my high prey drive, I don’t think cats would be a good fit for my forever home.If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s both playful and affectionate, I might be the perfect match for you!
