Story
Hola, Me llamo Francisco!I am an extremely handsome Shepherd/Husky mix boy (possibly mixed with Akita) and I am about 5 years of age. I am a good-sized boy weighing in at just over 70 pounds. However, I`m all done growing, so now I`ll just need exercise. I love to play fetch, I discovered, and I love my tasty treats. When I came to the shelter, I had been running for quite some time. Tired and scared. I was very nervous when I first got here but after a few days of the wonderful people here working with me and showing me that I could trust them, I have come out of my shell so much. I love to get pets and scratches, you will just need to go slow with me and help me understand you mean me no harm.I will need to go to a home with older teens (above the age of 14) and to adopters that are VERY familiar with my breed mixes. It is imperative I receive the nourishment, exercise and mental stimulation I require. I LOVE to play with other dogs, but, unfortunately, cats are not a good idea. If you have cats, you should definitely check out some of my other friends at the shelter that may be more cat-friendly.Join us for the Bissell Empty the Shelters Event October 1-15! Adoption hours are M-F 10-4.View all of my adoptable friends at https://www.macombgov.org/departments/animal-control/adoptionsMy adoption fee is SPONSORED.

Story
Meet our sweet girl, Fawn!Fawn is German Shepherd approximately 1 to 1 1/2 years old. She is absolutely the sweetest girl. She only weighs about 47 pounds so she might need some more time to finish growing completely, but would definitely benefit from a good diet to add a bit of weight. Fawn is very smart and loves to sit, shake and lie down. She waits patiently for treats, eats her food slowly and politely and can`t wait to learn more tricks and commands. She will need someone whounderstands her breed, so experience with German Shepherds is a must. Her new home will also have to commit to actual, physical and mental exercise. Going outside in a yard on her own will not be enough for our Fawn. She will need lots of long walks or runs with her new people.Although we aren`t too sure of Fawn`s early life and experience with cats, it is not recommended that Fawn go to a home with feline friends.Come meet Fawn and her friends today and see if she can be the perfect addition to your loving home!If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $250

Story
Hi, a little about Enzo. We rescued Enzo as a small puppy from a vacant home he was found at. He is such a good happy boy who loves to play, go for walks, and cuddle up at the end of the day. He has attended training classes and doggy day care and is great with other animals. He is about 2 years old and I have had him since he was a puppy. He is on the smaller side for an GS. Unfortunately, a super busy work schedule and personal changes at home has left me unable to offer him the attention and care he deserves. We love him so much and want him to go to a loving home where he doesnt have to be alone most of the day and can have all the attention he deserves.
