Story
Bandit was born 8/16/24. He is current with all his deworming and shots. He has two issues that are minor but need to be disclosed. The first issue he has a small hernia that will need to be repaired by the vet. My vet quoted me 99.00 and recommended that I wait until 6 months. The second issue is one of his testicles has not descended. This may or may not drop. If it doesn’t drop this will require a simple surgery that my vet quoted at 95.00. Again the vet recommended we wait 6 months. This would be a good time to neuter bandit And take care of both surgeries at the same time.

Story
Hola, Me llamo Francisco!I am an extremely handsome Shepherd/Husky mix boy (possibly mixed with Akita) and I am about 5 years of age. I am a good-sized boy weighing in at just over 70 pounds. However, I`m all done growing, so now I`ll just need exercise. I love to play fetch, I discovered, and I love my tasty treats. When I came to the shelter, I had been running for quite some time. Tired and scared. I was very nervous when I first got here but after a few days of the wonderful people here working with me and showing me that I could trust them, I have come out of my shell so much. I love to get pets and scratches, you will just need to go slow with me and help me understand you mean me no harm.I will need to go to a home with older teens (above the age of 14) and to adopters that are VERY familiar with my breed mixes. It is imperative I receive the nourishment, exercise and mental stimulation I require. I LOVE to play with other dogs, but, unfortunately, cats are not a good idea. If you have cats, you should definitely check out some of my other friends at the shelter that may be more cat-friendly.Join us for the Bissell Empty the Shelters Event October 1-15! Adoption hours are M-F 10-4.View all of my adoptable friends at https://www.macombgov.org/departments/animal-control/adoptionsMy adoption fee is $150.

Story
Everyone, meet Noel.Noel is a gorgeous 7 yr old German Shepherd and is the sweetest love bug in the world.Noel is a professional at playing fetch and even comes and drops the ball at your feet when she is ready for you to throw it again. Heads up, Noel has super-strong teeth and can destroy a flimsy ball, so heavy duty tennis balls or Chuck-It balls are a good idea.Noel does play well with both boy and girl dogs, however she does NOT like when dogs get in her face right away and she will bark and tell them to stay away. However, if you have a lower energy dog that needs a friend, Noel might be your girl. Noel will not be able to go to a home with any cats, so if you have feline friends at home, you will need to check out our other adoptable dogs instead.Noel must go to a home with experience and knowledge of the breed and must go to a home with a fenced in yard and a family dedicated to making sure she gets plenty of exercise.Come meet Noel today and make her a part of your loving home!Join us for the Bissell Empty the Shelters Event October 1-15! We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application!
