Story
Found Charlie when he was a puppy. Took him in & since then hes been nothing but so sweet with us. Hes really so loving and affectionate. He loves to play! He requires attention or gets sad/depressed. Since my son has moved to college, I cant and havent been able to take care of Charlie. Were looking for a home for Charlie with space as he is a bigger dog. Hes very protective. It just comes natural in him. not aggressive. At times likes too jump on people he just met. wasnt professionally trained, but he has the basics down enough to be able to control himself. We would prefer someone with a fenced backyard where he can run freely. We dont have a fence. We just know he would be the happiest to run freely.

Sadly we adopted Luna Bear a on Feb 21 and she is not a good fit. One of our cats is terrified of her. Original post: details Good with kids dogs cats Spayed Housetrained Shots current 4yo 73lbs She does great around kids but does bark a little. I wouldn't be selling her if I didn't have too..l'm just looking for a good family for her. The selling price isn't important, she must just go to a loving home.

Story
Rex is a resilient, affectionate boy with a heart as big as his incredible spirit 💛🐾 Born with congenital megaesophagus, Rex has learned that a little extra care just means a little extra love. He needs to be fed upright in a Bailey chair so his meals can safely reach his stomach — and he handles his special routine like an absolute champ. He thrives on a high-quality, nutrient-dense diet (currently The Farmer’s Dog), which has been working wonderfully for him. Rex will need lifelong management, including his upright feeding routine, possible medications, and regular veterinary checkups to help him feel his very best. While megaesophagus can shorten a dog’s lifespan, Rex refuses to let it define him or dull his joy. He greets each day with enthusiasm, a wagging tail, and an eagerness to be close to his people. He is a loving, social sweetheart who adores attention, companionship, and being part of the action. Rex is looking for a dedicated, compassionate adopter who can continue his care and give him the warm, supportive home he truly deserves. In return, he’ll give you unwavering love, resilience that inspires, and a bond that is nothing short of extraordinary. - Around 3 years 2 months old - Currently 71lbs - Adoption fee: $175 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary.
