We adopted Akida a few years ago from a family who didn’t have time for her. She’s very high energy and loves to play. She’s crate trained and house trained. Very smart and needs lots of mental and physical stimulation. Loves ice cream & peanut butter. She does not do well with cats at all, should not live with small animals.

Story
Cody is a big teddy bear! He is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 90 pounds. This gentle giant is so sweet, outgoing and connecting, and his soulful eyes will melt your heart. Cody seems to have more of a calm demeanor and is very well mannered. Such a nice walker too, he is very focused on you and looking for leadership. He has a gentle mouth release when playing with toys and knows many tricks like sit, shake paws, down, and roll over, so awesome! It sure seems like someone took a lot of time with him, he is such a good boy and deserves the best. He will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old, due to his size. Cody hopes his new forever family comes soon, he really wants to be in a home. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Cody would love to meet them. He has a soft, loose approach with other dogs with cute playbows and was also very tolerant of a puppy we introduced him to who had a rude play style. If you are interested in Cody and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Beautiful Daisy and her head tilt, too cute! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 56 pounds. Daisy is a gorgeous young girl with lots of love to give! She's very attentive to you, looking for your next instructions. Daisy is very people-oriented too and will always be close to your side, craving closeness and attention. She would be the perfect addition to your family, providing you with love and companionship, she is such a nice girl. Daisy does need a little work on some basic obedience and walking on leash, she tends to pull a bit. Hopefully her new family can help her with this, she is so smart, she should pick it up quickly. Daisy does need an adopter who understands the mental needs of a GSD as well as their need for leadership to be successful and a home where any children are at least 8 years old. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Daisy would love to meet them. She has an excited, friendly approach with other dogs with an “all in” playstyle. If you are interested in Daisy and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Story
Note: Do not apply unless you're committed/serious Ruse is a roughly 1.5-yo gshep mix (not spayed) She loves to run around and play with sticks, toys, etc. I'm not sure why, but she loves to hop on her hind legs a lot! It's very cute. She licks a bit but not too much. Also, cuddly and wants a lot of attention. For training, some things to consider: barks at strangers, hyper, eats paper, and partially potty trained. Her ideal owner would be someone who has time and money to train her. It would be best if you had a fenced-in yard too. Since I still love and adore her, one condition I have is the ability to get updates, pics, and some visits whenever convenient. With that said, if it doesn't work out, I would like her returned to me so she doesn't get bounced around. It would be great if she was rehomed with Rambler. The two have bonded quite a bit and I'd hate to separate them. It's not necessary though if you're only interested in Ruse. Rambler: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/41524437
