Meet Sasha! Found wandering along railroad tracks with her two puppies, Sasha was heartbreakingly thin and struggling to survive. She protected her little family with everything she had, but when rescued, it was clear she was exhausted and malnourished. Fortunately, her foster mom found her and took amazing care of her! Sasha is thriving in her foster home and ready to find her forever family! Sasha is the perfect blend of playful energy and loyal companionship. This gorgeous girl is the kind of dog who’ll make every day a little brighter, whether she’s chasing after her favorite ball or curling up at your feet after a long day. Sasha absolutely lives for a good game of fetch, she could play for hours if you let her, always ready with that eager tail wag and happy grin that says, “One more throw, please!” When it’s time to relax, Sasha knows how to settle in. She’s crate trained, completely house trained, and loves nothing more than being near her people snuggled close while you watch your favorite show or unwind for the evening. She walks beautifully on a leash or harness, making her the perfect adventure buddy for anyone who enjoys strolls around the neighborhood or exploring the trails. Sasha would thrive with an active family or a young couple looking not only for a loyal companion, but also a cherished family member to join in on life’s adventures. She gets along well with other dogs but would be just as happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. In every way, Sasha is ready to be someone’s best friend, playful, loving, loyal, and full of heart. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring laughter, companionship, and endless games of fetch into your life, Sasha is waiting to meet you. Sasha is approximately 3 years old and weighs about 48 lbs. Sasha is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to many locations across the country. Transport fee is included in her adoption fee.

Hello! My name is Boone! Are you looking for a sports dog? I am your guy! I am a highly driven, smart dog looking for jobs to do to prove myself. My energy can be quite a lot, as I am a young dog who has previously lacked structure and commitment. But I am showing fantastic improvements with managing my excitement, and I hope to show you my best side if you meet me. I would prefer a home without other animals and children under 12 due to my sensitive nature. I have TONS of love to give and I would have even more dedication to offer to you as your partner in crime. Could we start the next chapter of our lives together? Come hang out with me soon!

Hi my name is Harley! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I will seek comfort from my favorite people while I work on my confidence. If you give me a chance, you could be just the person I am looking for, and I could be the dog to make you feel complete! I`d benefit from meeting any potential dog siblings and all human family members in the home before I go home! I’m a fun-loving dog who loves to play chase, so a home with cats or other small and furry friends wouldn’t be a good fit for my exuberant personality. My energy may not be suitable for young children.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Kaia! Born September 19, 2025, Kaia (Ky-ah) is a malamute/German shepherd mix who's equal parts adventurous and affectionate. She adjusted quickly to her foster home and is gaining confidence every day. With People Kaia loves all adults — men, women, doesn't matter. If you'll pet her and snuggle with her, she'll give it right back. She enjoys  older  kids  (5+)  too but  does best when she can approach on her own terms. She'll happily snuggle up with them on the couch or run around with them in the yard, but fast-moving little ones who get up in her face tend to make her  too  nervous.  She currently lives with a 3- and 5-year-old and does well BUT they are familiar with nervous dogs and know to let her come to them.  With Other Pets Kaia is good with cats and mostly ignores them. She enjoys playing with other dogs, though she can lean toward the bossy side. Her biggest hurdle is resource guarding with food — specifically food in her bowl and the area where she's fed.  She does NOT guard anything from humans.  In her foster home, she eats in her crate, and she doesn't like other dogs going near it, so the door stays closed and latched. Her guarding behavior looks like sprinting over and putting her body between the other dog and her bowl or crate — the other dogs simply walk away, and it's caused no issues. She can also eat next to other dogs outside the crate with supervision,  as long as  bowls  with  left over  food  are picked up when the food is gone. This has been very easily managed in a home with three other resident dogs. That said, Kaia's ideal home either has no other dogs or has submissive dogs who will respect her boundaries, with owners  comfortable ensuring no food is left in bowls on the ground when all dogs are out. Energy & Enrichment Kaia  is a medium energy dog who  enjoys playing fetch, chewing on her  Benebone , and going for walks. She also has a quirky habit of tossing rocks around the yard — never swallowing them, just relocating them.  So  if you don't mind tidying up the occasional rock collection, she might be the dog for you. With proper exercise she's not destructive, though she will grab an unattended shoe if she hasn't had her walk or playtime yet. Around the House Kaia is content in a crate and stays in one at night and whenever people aren't home. She's not very vocal — she rarely barks, even when the other dogs in the house are going off. The occasional whine is about as loud as she gets. She's not an escape artist or a runner, and while she's not  off-leash  trained yet, she has the temperament for it. On the Go Kaia is learning to enjoy car rides, especially now that she's figured  out  they usually mean walks around town. With continued confidence-building, she has all the makings of a great adventure dog. The Snuggle Factor Don't let her size fool you — Kaia is a lap dog at heart. When it's time to wind down on the couch, she'll climb right into your lap or lean her full weight into you for maximum contact. Overall , Kaia is  a fairly easy  dog who's gaining confidence fast. She loves being outside, staying active, and being with her people. If she sounds like your kind of dog, apply today!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate April 4, 2026, 9:06 am

Story
Introducing Roxy! What’s the first thing you think when you see Roxy? “Whoa… those are some crazy eyes.” Same. But trust us those eyes have seen a lot. Eyes that came minutes away from being euthanized. And now? They suit her perfectly, because Roxy is crazy in all the best ways: - Crazy smart Roxy has classic puppy energy and is still learning how to channel it but in a short time she already knows sit and lay down, is great in a kennel, and is mostly potty trained. With continued training, we’re 100% confident she’ll be an incredibly smart, loyal best friend for an experienced owner. - Crazy friendly Cats? Dogs? Kids? Men? Women? Yes to all. She can be a bit of a bull in a china shop, so she may not be ideal for very small kids but she truly loves everyone she meets. - Crazy athletic She walks well on leash, hops right into the car, and is ready to be your adventure ride-or-die. Hiking, running, exploring there’s no active hobby we can imagine that she wouldn’t love doing right by your side. So if you’re looking to adopt a high-energy, fiercely loyal best friend, in the wise words of TLC: “Don’t go chasing waterfalls.” Go adopt Roxy instead. She’s crazy. She’s sexy. She’s cool. And she’s waiting for her person. Roxy is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for adoption many places across the country. Adoption fee includes the cost of transport. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog
