Story
We bought Chase locally when he was 6 weeks old. He is very intelligent and is very "chill". He prefers to be alone but gets along well with other dogs, people, and children. He is a very big "cuddle bug". He will sleep with you and is sometimes a little goofy. He loves to roam the backyard yard barking at passersby. He knows basic commands. Barks when someone knocks at the door and follows commands to get back and sit. He is both an outside dog as well as inside. We alternate all day long between inside and outside according to the weather. He never sleeps outside. We love him very much and want to make sure he goes to a loving family or individual. He's a great ESA dog and I can definitely see him being trained as a service dog. His (calm) behaviors make it easy to determine his likes & dislikes. He is a boushie eater. Snacks aren't quite his thing. Definitely a family dog and/or single-person companion. He is groomed at Petco. Chase also likes to ride in cars ad play ball.

Story
Meet Jacob!! He is a 6 month old, 22 pound  (and growing) male white german shepherd who found himself in a Texas shelter with a toe injury. He has recovered well and made his way up to Michigan in search of his forever home.He is all ears and all cute! Jacob gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He is crate and house trained and an all around smart boy, typical of his breed. He is a little shy at first,  but comes right out of his shell after a bit. A home with a another playful dog is preferred.Jacob is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350.00. Please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com if you have questions about him.  Ready to fill out an adoption application? Name: Sarabi Breed Guess: German Shepherd Age: 7 months old Gender: Female Weight: 45 pounds Shelter Temperament: Sweet & Shy Energy Level: High Children: Unknown Cats: Will test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required Adoption fee: $500 Hi! I am pretty new to the ARP and staff are still getting to know me. I am currently taking the time to gain confidence. I like playing with my siblings, cuddling up in warm blankets, and playing with my toys. The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
