Story
https://gsrne.org/our-available-dogs/ Bonnie is a sweet 3-year-old female dog who is looking for her forever home. Her basic obedience is very strong and would do best with someone who wants to continue her training. She loves nature, walks on the long-line, playing fetch with the ball and other toys, playing with other dogs in daycare, and learning new tricks. She is well-behaved in the car, on public outings and loves being included in her owner’s day-to-day life. Bonnie would do well with another dog or cat in the house with the proper introduction. This cuddle bug can’t wait to meet her forever person!

Story
Before calling about this dog, please read our adoption requirements at http://gsrne.org/requirements-for-adopting-from-gsrne Meet Rip! If you watch the television series Yellowstone, you’ll know who this handsome 11-month-old boy was named after. Rip is a friendly, confident dog who’s been well socialized and has had extensive obedience training in his foster home. An active home that’s familiar with the breed would be perfect for Rip. He’s a dog that whatever you ask of him, he’ll happily do for you. It could be playing ball, agility, dock diving, learning new tricks, watching soccer and softball games with you, or going for car rides. In fact, Rip is a real “road warrior” having accompanied his foster dad and his dad’s competition Shepherd to many events in and outside of New England. Rip is up for all kinds of activities and is happy to meet new people and later, can lay quietly by you in the evening. Rip is a very smart and affectionate dog who’s waiting patiently for his forever family to come meet him.

Story
Meet Daphne! - Shepherd Mix - Female - 2 years young - 41lbs - Spayed - Up to date on all vaccinations Daphne was rescued from a high kill shelter where she was next in line to be euthanized. When we saw a picture of how terrified and scared she was we knew we couldn’t let anything bad happen to her again. Daphne is very nervous and scared and we are assuming she was abused in her past as she cowers low when people walk by quick. She is really starting to open up in her foster home and getting more and more comfortable each day. Daphne needs and adopter who will be patient with her and show her that she is worthy of your love. She’s so unsure on who to trust but we can see that she wants to trust so bad. She gets along well with other dogs and sleeps through the night in the crate. Do you have enough love and patience in your heart to give Daphne the best life possible? If so, she’s desperately waiting for you! To apply to adopt this beautiful girl, please fill out an adoption application located on our website. www.aplaceforace.org

Story
Niko is a 4 yo german shepherd. His birthday is 2/2/18 so he's almost 5. I got him right before Covid so he was not socialized as much as he should've been and has some social anxiety when other humans come to his home or are around his humans. He is extremely protective of what's his and will give ample warning to those who are a threat by barking and pushing them back with his nose. He has to be medicated when he goes to the vet to calm him. With the right training and time this can be corrected. He's extremely intelligent and willing to learn new things. He's a working dog by nature. He loves walks, playing catch with his tennis ball, squeaky toys and lots of attention. He won't leave your side or run away. He's house trained and food driven. I lost my husband to suicide a year ago and due to financial reasons I cannot keep him. I am heartbroken and desperate to find him a loving home asap.
