Story
Meet Cinnamon! Cinammon is about 10 months old, 33 lbs, and she likely has some Shepherd in her mix! She was found as a stray In her foster home, she is doing great with her house-training, does not enjoy crate training and does well on leash. She could go to a home ideally as an only dog, but possibly with a dog of similar calm energy, dog-savvy cats, and older children. She ideally needs someone with Shepherd experience. Her foster says, `Cinnamon is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! She has been a joy to foster! She learned our routine quickly and is so very smart. She has mastered her leash skills with walks at the park where she was friendly with everyone especially if they had treats for her! She loves plush toys a good game of “tug of war” and splashing in the lake with her fur buddies. She’s pretty snuggly too and will flop in your lap for tummy rubs and kisses. Her favorite time of the day is meal time! She has the cutest little prance she does as she follows you to her bowl. It’s pretty adorable! She’s always so happy to see you when you’ve returned from being gone for a bit; it really warms your heart. We think she’s a really special girl and can’t wait to see her get her forever family. She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on December 6th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Meet Ilio! Ilio is about 7 years old, 4 lbs, and he may may have some Shepherd in his mix! Ilio was surrendered after his elderly owner could no longer care for him. In his foster home, he is working on his house-training, crate-training and leash-walking. He could go to a home with other dogs, cats, and/or kids 5+.His foster says, `Hello everyone my name is Ilio. I know it`s a different type of name. I am 7 years young. I still love to go for walks, play with toys and snuggle. But I`m also just as happy laying cuddled beside you while you watch tv or read a book. I also like to find a place on the floor where the sun shines on it to take a nice nap. I am dreaming about finding my forever family that will love me, and that I can love them back in return. I hope that someone can please make my dream come true. I will love you forever.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on December 6th. MEET TAILS!Tails is one of many of our new pups from Missisippi that is ready to find his loving home! This sweet boy is full of energy and is ready for anything! He loves to curl up in your lap and give you kisses, and he gets along well with other dogs. Tails can be shy at first when meeting new people and other canine friends, but he warms up quickly. Tails is very food motivated and he is going to need his adopter(s) to teach him all the puppy basics! Tails is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Tails or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
Jiffy is a shepherd mix pup and is a very gentle with people. He starts off a little shy but warms up quickly. He loves children and other dogs. We are unsure how he behaves with cats but we think that he will be friendly with them because of his sweet nature. Jiffy isn't keen about the leash, but once it is on, he walks fairly well. He loves toys and keeps his kennel clean during the day. Jiffy is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. Story
Meet Loki… With his stunning good looks and sweet personality, it’s easy to fall in love with this handsome boy. Loki loves going for walks, playing fetch, and especially loves using his nose to find hidden treats. He lived with children in his original home and was very gentle and loving with them. For a young dog, Loki is not a high-energy dog and, after a walk, would rather just be with his people relaxing on the sofa. When it’s time to settle down, there’s nothing better he would rather do than rest his head on your arm or lap. The ideal home for Loki is with a family that is familiar with the breed. In his original home, Loki, lived with three other German shepherds. There had been a couple of bad fights instigated by the female and younger male, but the last fight that ensued took his owners almost an hour to separate the three dogs. Poor Loki was severely hurt, leaving some serious scarring on his neck and triggering him to become fearful towards some dogs. Loki did get along very well with the older GSD in the home, but he would thrive in an only dog household. Loki really wants to please people. He is extremely social and attentive to humans. He is also very affectionate. He loves human contact https://gsrne.org/dog-bios

Not good with dogs, House-trained,
Story
A few months ago, authorities found an abandoned female German Shepherd tied up to a gate using a horse lead. The dog was malnourished and in need of medical treatment. The good news is the fleas are gone, her ear infection has been addressed, and she’s already feeling better. So many dogs need our help, but when we heard about Bonnie, we knew she was a top priority. We did not have a foster home immediately available so Bonnie has been staying at a boarding and training facility that has helped us with several dogs when we have emergent placement needs. They have found her to be a very sweet and affectionate girl. She is a staff favorite. Bonnie is learning her basic commands. She is a happy girl with a lot of energy with a puppyish quality about her. She is a super cuddle bug, loves car rides, and has the cutest ears! Bonnie prefers to be the apple of your eye as an only dog so she can get all your attention. We do not know if Bonnie has any experience around kids so she will need a home with no one younger than teenagers. We are going to make sure this sweet girl receives everything she needs to be a healthy three-year-old, including lots of love and affection. https://gsrne.org/our-available-dogs/
