Story
Sasha is the most sweetest girl Ive ever met. I got her rabies shot. Shes iffy with cats she’s just very curious. I rescued her 3-4 months ago from a home where she was locked in a kennel with several dogs fighting to get food. She was 32lbs now 44. She is DOG PICKY. She picks and chooses which dogs she gets along with or not. I would say best in a home with no other animals. She is amazing with kids. From 4-10 years old she does phenomenal. She’s a very big cuddle bug with high energy. She is crate trained, and has separation anxiety very badly. I give her calming treats from Petco and put her in the crate before going to work. If she gets put on medication from the vet she will most likely be able to stay outside of a crate when you are away. She loves to put on clothes and play tug of war with her humans. And does very very well on car rides. She is getting better with not pulling on a leash! I have surgery on my wrist in about a month and can no longer care for her.

Story
Jovi is 4 years old, neutered, 95 pounds, smart, loving, but he has anxiety in certain situations. He’s had a fenced yard his entire life so he needs lots of practice on a leash, and he’s nervous in the car because he hadn’t had many car rides. He needs practice there too. He would also need a harness or gentle leader or a strong person to take him on a leash because once outside he will run or pull and he’s very strong. He’s great with small dogs but he will show his alpha for a few minutes with larger dogs. He hasn’t been around cats. Jovi is very loved but due to my housing issue I have to find another home for him.

Story
Meet Dexter! A dignified eleven-year-old German Shepherd/Collie mix from Broomall, PA, whose spirit radiates the same youthful joy as a puppy wrapped in a gorgeous tan coat. Dexter is the epitome of loyalty and obedience, a gentle giant who knows his commands—sit, stay, come, and go—like the back of his paw! His intelligence and training make him a joy to have by your side, and he's always eager to show off his good manners. Despite being a senior, Dexter’s zest for life is boundless! He might be blind and living with diabetes, requiring two insulin shots a day, but that doesn’t stop him from embracing every day with a wagging tail and a playful attitude! Dexter loves nothing more than a good chew toy or bone and relishes his daily walks. While dog parks might be a bit overwhelming for him, a quiet stroll through the neighborhood or some quality time lounging in the yard are more his speed. Dexter’s calm and composed demeanor shines through, especially when he's left alone for short periods—he’s perfectly fine and content on his own, though he’ll be overjoyed when you return. Dexter’s blindness hasn’t dimmed his spirit. In fact, it’s made him an even more loving and constant companion! He may not see, but he navigates life with a remarkable sense of trust and love, making him a wonderful companion who’ll stay by your side through thick and thin. He’s friendly to strangers, good with young children, and neutral towards other dogs—he’s the type who’s happy just being around, soaking up the companionship without demanding the spotlight. His ideal new family would be patient, loving, and understanding of his special needs, embracing his daily routine and appreciating his steadfast loyalty. Dexter is ready to bring endless joy and unwavering companionship to a new home, and he’s eagerly waiting to meet a pet parent who can match his gentle, loving nature. Great news for potential adopters, Dexter’s adoption fee has been sponsored by the family! Are you the one who can give Dexter the forever home he needs? If so, he’s ready to become your most loyal friend and constant companion. Contact us at adopt@joyfulpets.com to meet Dexter today!

Story
Meet Dexter and Emma! A delightful pair of senior companions from Broomall, PA, whose bond is as heartwarming as their personalities are charming. Dexter, an eleven-year-old German Shepherd/Collie mix, and Emma, an eleven-year-old Basenji/American Pitbull Terrier mix, are looking for a loving new home where they can continue their journey together, bringing joy, loyalty, and love to their future family! Dexter is a large, tan-coated gentleman who embodies obedience and devotion. Despite being blind and managing diabetes with two daily insulin shots, Dexter radiates a puppy-like joy that lights up the room. His favorite activities include leisurely walks and savoring his favorite chew toys, and he’s always up for a cuddle session with his human companions! Dexter is a true constant companion, always by your side, ready to offer his quiet presence and gentle affection. He’s a well-trained, medium-energy dog who knows commands like sit, stay, come, and go, making him an easygoing and reliable friend. Though he enjoys the occasional walk, dog parks can be a bit overwhelming for him, so he prefers a more peaceful environment. Dexter is good with other dogs and young children, and he’s unfazed by being left alone for short periods, making him a perfect fit for a calm and patient household. Emma, on the other hand, is a medium-sized, golden beauty with a spunky spirit and a love for life! She adores her chew toys, walks, and especially her visits to the dog park, where she can meet new friends and explore the outdoors. Emma’s playful and affectionate nature shines through in everything she does, though she has a bit of a stubborn streak that only adds to her endearing character. She’s great with other dogs and young children, though babies make her a little nervous, so a family with older children would be a better match for her. Emma is independent but loves affection from her human friends, and she’s happiest in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely roam and play. While she has a form of lupus, she’s currently not on any medication, and her health is stable. This bonded pair offers the best of both worlds—Dexter’s serene and loyal companionship alongside Emma’s playful and affectionate energy. They are ready to bring double the love, double the joy, and double the tail wags into a new loving home! Great news for potential adopters, Dexter and Emma’s adoption fee has been sponsored by the family! Are you ready to welcome Dexter and Emma into your family and experience the heartwarming bond they share? Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and start the next chapter of your life with these two amazing dogs by your side!

Available for Adoption: Now- Applications need to be approved before a meet and greet will be set up for any Fetching Hearts Rescue dogs. Carly was at a shelter in Mississippi on euthanasia list. She was a stray that nobody wanted and due to this reason, we needed to step in and help immediately. If you're looking for a new playmate, look no further than Carly! This gorgeous girl is affectionate, athletic, curious, friendly, funny, loving, loyal, playful, and smart. That's a lot of awesome adjectives, but it just goes to show what a superstar Carly is! She's the whole package and then some: smart, sweet, and an all-around stellar pup. On top of all that, she's great with other dogs and people. What more could you ask for? Carly is an adult dog, but she still loves to play and has lots of energy, so she's the perfect companion for long walks and lots of playtime with a fenced yard. If you're looking for a new snuggle buddy, she's also fantastic at that in the evenings when you want to watch a movie. In her downtime, she enjoys nothing more than curling up with her favorite humans. She is food driven so training classes should be easy with her to work on commands. So if you're looking for a wonderful new addition to your family, come and meet Carly! Apply today!!! Story
Meet Kermit!!!! This handsome boy came in to the shelter in Mississippi with a litter of puppies just like him. Yes they were very very big pups. He came in with Gonzo, Fozzy and Miss Piggy etc. Kermit is a very loving guy who is all about his people and dog friends. He is going to make someone extremely happy when you add him to your family. Kermit loves playing with his toys, but he will not bring anything back to you. He has yet to learn the whole fetching process. Kermit does enjoy water. He would love to go on walks, or even a hike near a body of water so he can stop and play in it. Kermit will start off shy with his people, but once he understands that you are going to love him, he will be your best friend. Kermit has an awesome personality and demeanor to him. Due to the fact he is still a pup, we will require that he does go to training to learn obedience. We also will want him to be socialized and not left more than 3 to 4 hours a day. Kermit cannot wait to meet his forever family! He will make you so happy and feel so loved when he has opened up. As long as you give him time to settle in his home, Kermit will be the best boy ever.
