Story
Loki is a rescue originally from San Diego, CA. My brother rescued him and about a year later he found out he was going to be stationed overseas for 3 years and couldn’t bring Loki with him. I took him in for the duration of time and recently returned him to my brother. However, since returning my brother’s lifestyle has drastically changed with a baby in the mix and working full time. They are living in an apartment complex which makes it hard to give loki’s the life he deserves which is lots of active time running around. he is a protective dog and also a huge lover. He knows his basic commands, he is 100% house trained, he let you know when he hast to go outside for a potty break. He does get very excited around dogs in public, which is something that has been hard to tackle, but he has never attacked a person or another dog. He is good around kids and people in general, we would just love to find someone who is a looking to give Loki his best life!!

Story
Diesel is such a sweet boy, but my family dynamics have changed and we cannot give him the attention and time he needs. Diesel loves cuddling and is very affectionate. We've had him since he was about 4 months old. He is a pure GS with his breed of record certificate. He is an active dog, and sometimes thinks he's still a puppy. He is completely housebroken with no accidents since he was a pup, this could be due to having him on a schedule. He is smart! His high intelligence should not go to waste, keep him engaged or he will find unproductive ways to keep himself occupied. This has been a 2 year battle of going back and fourth with rehoming him as he is the perfect dog, he just deserves a family to give him the time and attention we can no longer provide for him. DOB: April of 2018/ Weight 68lbs

Meet Oso, a three-year-old, 80 pounds healthy male German Shepherd who is full of loyalty and kindness! We brought him into our lives through Mike's Chance Animal Rescue, and we loved fostering him over the past few months. He's attended training classes and has had regular check-ups with the vet, so he's ready for his forever home. SAMMIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    "Hey there, I'm Sammie! I am a social butterfly who loves every dog I meet and really hope my future home has other pups to play with! In my foster home, my favorite times are snuggle time, playtime, and dinner time! I'm a pro at cleaning my plate. I am a bit curious about the resident kitty in my foster home, but I promise I've never been anything but polite! I'm well versed in 'sit' and adore a game of fetch. Give me a backyard, and I'll run myself into nap time. While I've got a sweet side, I've also been known to channel my inner American Ninja Warrior and take a hop over short fences. I need to be watched!   I've made many furry and human friends in my foster home, and they all seem to think I'm great! I'm working on mastering the leash and to not bark, but I am getting into the crate when asked! If you have a couch and endless love to give, I'm ready to be yours!"   He is estimated to be between 2-3 years old and 65 lbs. He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots including rabies shot. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Sammie up north after he is adopted.     To apply to adopt Sammie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .     THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
We rescued Sidney from a horrific shelter in Memphis, TN. When we got him, he was skin and bones and had some barrier aggression issues (who knows what horrors he suffered there) It didn't take long for Sidney to realize he was now safe and could start letting down his guard. Sidney Poitier has filled out and is truly a stunning dog. Sidney is about 2 years old, and is at his healthy weight of 80 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he show absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system)  He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney Poitier, email cox_ann@bellsouth.net for an application

Story
Say Hello to Lucy! Lucy is 3 years young and searching for her forever companion and adventure buddy! Lucy loves to be outside, almost as much as she loves to stay close to her human. She doesn't mind her kitty siblings and if children want to play a game of fetch, Lucy is ready to go! This beautiful girl, is house-trained, crate trained and up to date on her vaccinations and preventatives. The only thing missing for Lucy is her forever home! Lucy is young and healthy and loves to run and play. She would do well with someone who is active and has a fenced yard. Story
Name: DieselAge: 3 years oldBreed: German ShepherdDogs: SelectiveCats: YesKids: Over 12****German Shepherd or similar breed experience required****Our handsome guy Diesel is looking for his forever home! Diesel is 3 years old and is about 105lbs, he is one big dude! Diesel is not only handsome but charming as well! Diesel lacks confidence when meeting new people, so it may take him a little bit for our shy guy to come around and say hi, but with a little reassurance from his friends, his lovable, sweet, and playful side comes out and all Diesel wants is love and attention! Diesel loves his walks and his car rides, but what Diesel loves most is his people, he gets so excited to greet his friends!Mr. Diesel is selective with other dogs and could care less about cats. Diesel has lived with a young child previously, but we are saying older breed-savvy children for Diesel. Diesel needs someone who can give him the time, patience, and attention he needs to help him come out of his shell and build his confidence. Diesel loves to walk around our expen patrolling the area, so would love a fenced-in yard and a home that can give him a job to do. Diesel is neutered, micro-chipped, and UTD on his vaccinations. If you are interested in giving Diesel his forever home, please fill out an application today!https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27
