Story
Meet Jolene, the charming 2-year-old German Shepherd looking for her forever home! This sweet girl was discovered tied to a cluster of mailboxes with her pink leash, abandoned and confused. Initially cautious, Jolene quickly realized her rescuer was ready to help and leaped into her car - the rest is history!  Despite her past abandonment, Jolene is resilient and loves people. With her affectionate nature, Jolene is a people and dog enthusiast, always ready to play and make new friends. Don’t be fooled though, this fun girl loves a good nap cuddled on the couch with her people. Up-to-date on her shots and fixed, this lovable girl is eager to embark on adventures and bask in the love of a devoted family. Jolene’s zest for life requires an active household, as she’s prone to bouts of boredom that might manifest in the occasional chew or dig. An apartment left empty for hours won’t suit this loyal girl; she craves companionship and activity to thrive. So, if you’re seeking a sweet, loving, loyal girl to join your adventures, cuddle on the couch and be your best friend, look no further than Jolene, the German Shepherd with the most loving heart.  If you are interested in adopting Jolene, please contact her foster below: Mary Brandt, 210-601-9654, mary@chuckstransport.com You can also submit an application at the website below:  www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. Story
2 yr old Rocky is an intelligent and docile boy. He is a gentle giant. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who learns commands fast. He came from a home with many dogs and has never had any issue with them. In his current home, he has been kept separated from his foster brother who is reactive to other dogs, but he sees them through the gate and never once barks. Rocky is little timid in new situations. He loves car rides. He is excellent with children. He loves for the neighborhood kids to pet him. He is so polite and never jumps on anyone. Rocky is potty-trained and crate trained, although he is rarely crated, since he is very perfect outside a crate. During the freeze, he was patient about going out, and never once demanded to be taken out. He is a really sweet and tolerant pup. Rocky likes to run around in the backyard but once he is inside the house, he loves to lay on his foster parents’ bed or on the couch to feel closed to his humans. His foster dad says that he is the perfect dog. Rocky is 80 lb, neutered, is microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. He can travel to most states and Canada for the right home. A fully fenced yard is mandatory for our dogs. Rocky is a flexible dog and lives to make his human happy. Rescue story: Rocky's owners always used to leave him outside and he would come up to the neighbor's home. Finally they moved and did not take Rocky with them. His neighbor took him in and is fostering him.

Story
2 yr old Zeus is an intelligent and docile boy. He is a gentle giant. He is an extremely sweet boy who learns commands fast. He was abandoned by his previous owners when they moved and kept Zeus in the yard. Zeus waited for them, and almost got hit by cars while looking for them. Our rescue volunteers came to know of him from the neighbors and tried to get him to safety, but he was too smart to be trapped. When storm hit Houston, Zeus went missing for a few days. Luckily, a good Samaritan found him and posted him on tiktok. Someone saw her post and reached out to her, and he was brought into our rescue. Zeus loves children and other dogs. He also is fine with cats. He does not like crates, therefore a remote working parent or stay-home parent will be perfect for him. He can also benefit from daycare if need be. He can do great alone if there is a second dog with him. Zeus is a lovely dog, very affectionate, and bonds with his humans. His foster mom says that he is the perfect dog. Zeus is 84 lb, neutered, is microchipped, heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Texas but is able to travel anywhere in the US and even Canada for the right home. GSD experience is mandatory! Yards must be fully and adequately fenced in order to adopt our pups. We do not accept invisible or electric fence or partial fence. Story
Meet Novak, this handsome boy is a 69 lb. German shepherd mix breed who adores everyone he meets. He is ready and eager to meet the family of his dreams and find the perfect home. We know that the family that takes Novak home will have wonderful memories to share with family and friends. At 7 years old, Novak has matured, and values love and the people who are willing to offer it unconditionally to him. We do not know what his past was like, but we do know that he has a bright future. He stands tall on his three legs and carries on like any other dog with his physical abilities. He expressed a disinterest to the feline persuasion so a home without a cat will be ideal for Novak. However, he does well with other dogs and children and will welcome their company. He walks well on a leash and is house trained. Crate training will need more time to master but Novak will be giving one hundred percent to be a success. He is a napper by nature so he would be content to curl up on the sofa and snooze away. He does not spend all his time catching sleep because he does enjoy going for walks as well. He walks like a dream on the leash and all eyes are sure to be on him. His sweet and endearing personality will seal the deal in making new friends. Are you ready to write a happy ending for this amazing dog with all the love that you can give him? Read on to get the ball rolling. The adoption fee for Novak is $300. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. Story
Welcome Ruby to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Ruby is a 13-month old German Shepherd Dog. We are guessing she will be 60 pounds full grown. She is either a high mix or pure GSD. She was dumped at our Vet Office and our Vet is fostering her and vetting her. She is potty trained and good on a leash. She is crate trained and likes to ride in the car. She is healthy, vaccinated and on the schedule to be spayed. We would love a previous GSD owner. Young GSDs are energetic and will need mental and physical stimulation to be happy. GSD dogs are typically good with children. She has been around one child at the vet office and numerous people. She has done great with all the above. She is timid in new surroundings but the Vet is doing a great job with her. She bonds deeply and really loves her foster dad. She would be great with a young person or family that is active and looking for an active companion. She is good in a crate, good in a car and very smart. She has some slope on her back but not too much with means she will have less trouble with her hips in the future over the more sloped backs. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Rodney is a happy and energetic German Shepard mix. Rodney loves to play with other dogs and wants to be friends with everybody! He loves to play fetch outside with sticks or balls and he loves to play in water. Rockets favorite thing is playtime with his doggy friends and would prefer a home that has a playmate that can match his size and energy. Rodney lives with cats in his foster home and he doesn’t try to hurt them but he likes to chase them once in a while. He loves children but he is clumsy so he would do best in a home without small children.

I am a beautiful shepherd girl, my soft fur is so brindly and colorful you will gaze at me for hours :D I am a young gal, had heartworms and was already treated for it, so I am just ready to be YOURS :) ADOPT ME, must love and know Shepherds- I am a wonderful example of the breed.
