Story
Oaky is a 7 year old neutered GSD. He’s a very obedient, friendly, and energetic dog who unfortunately needs to be an only dog as he does not get along well with canine roommates. He’s good with cats and people and would do great as an only dog with active parents!    For more information, contact 978-319-3244 or ryan.d.jallad@gmail.com.     This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. November 6, 2024, 12:43 pm

Story
She’s 3.5 years old. We rescued her from an awful situation - she’d been chained up her entire life (over 3 years at the time), outside with no shelter. She’s a total sweetheart, and incredibly smart. Loves people, zero aggression towards them. She’s great with the other dogs she’s met too (but has limited experience meeting dogs), other than our first dog. Our first dog hates her for some reason, and they’ve never gotten along. In the past few days, things have escalated to large fights between the two of them, with no triggers or warnings to speak of. Never any fights with the other dogs we have or any aggression towards people. With this being the case, with my wife pregnant and due soon, I just need to rehome this one to avoid any further stress for my wife.

Story
Cyrus is a big, sweet boy. He craves attention and thinks he is still small enough to be a lap dog He is crate trained, so he sleeps in his crate. He has had extensive training through the state of CO dog training program, but requires an experienced owner who will be consistent. He is extremely loyal and will not leave your side when you are home throughout the day. He loves, and needs, daily walks and/or fenced yard for exercise. He loves car rides and gets excited for occasional doggy day care play dates. He does well around children of all ages.

Story
Hi, I'm Andres. More information coming soon!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here. Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. "Addie as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster's farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this wonderful girl part of your family please get your application in asap!!!

Story
0822281 - Nymeria is a sweet girl who loves to get pet and is very affectionate.  We think she is a shepherd/husky mix, she is 6-7 years old but she is still very energetic and playful.  She would love her new human to be active and get her out on walks, hikes and runs.  She also likes to play in the water.  She does okay with other dogs out of the home as long as they are more on the submissive side but would do best as the only dog in the home.  She would also do best in a home with older kids (or no kids) and loved the teenagers in her foster home.  Nymeria loves toys and can often be found with a ball in her mouth.  She is house and crate trained. She is very smart and treat motivated so with a little training the sky is the limit for this girl!  If you are interested in meeting her please complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##1508274##
