Story
Highlights: -Could do well with kids -Could do well with other dogs or as only dogHi, I'm Sage, a six-year-old female German Shepherd weighing 95 pounds. I'm an extremely friendly and personable girl who loves making new friends, both human and canine. Around the shelter, I'm known for my bubbly personality and heartwarming smile.I do need to lose some weight, but it's tricky because my back hips cause me discomfort. I'm looking for a family who can help me find alternative ways to get some exercise that don't cause me pain. Despite my size, my heart is even bigger, and I'm ready to win yours and keep it forever. Are you the caring family who can help me stay healthy and happy? Let's share smiles and create beautiful memories together!- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Sasha is a mature older dog looking for a quite home to settle into. She enjoys leash walks, car rides, and snuggles, and she especially loves being scratched on her neck. While she’s crate trained and housebroken, Sasha does experience some age-related marking, which her future family will need to manage with patience. This sweet girl is great with kids of all ages, making her an ideal family companion, and while she has some quirks, including anxiety around vacuums and thunderstorms. At this age she is looking to be the only dog in the home to reduce her need to guarde resources. With a little understanding and support, Sasha is ready to bring joy and love to a caring home!

Story
Hello! I'm a sweet and shy 13yr old boy who wants a calm household. I would not do well living in an apartment/condo/townhome, but I would excel at keeping your yard free from critters. I play nicely with other dogs, and don't let my age fool you...I still have plenty of pep in my step! I can't wait to love you! I am very timid with new people. I need an adopter who can commit to multiple meetings over time before I could come home with you. Loud noises are scary so a calm and quiet living environment with only one or two adults would be best for me. I would not do well living in an apartment or shared wall situation. I need a fenced yard. I'm crate trained and dog-door trained! I love to play with other dogs. I'd love a dog friend to play with me and a big back yard to run around in. I need a quiet home with only one or two people. I love to work for treats! I need to have a house with fenced in yard. I don’t have experience being around cats. I don't like loud noises. Children are often loud, so I prefer to not be around them. I would do best in a home without children. I’m shy but I love relaxed and loving people. I’m crate trained and dog-door trained!

Story
Indy is a shy 10-month-old German Shepherd mix. She is very smart and food motivated and would benefit from continued training to build her confidence. She would do best in a patient and experienced home where she can learn to trust her humans. Once she learns to trust you, she is very sweet and loves nothing more than snuggling and going on car rides. Indy would like a home with another social dog as she loves playing with her dog friends. Because of her shy demeanor, she would do best in a home with adults only, and no children under 13. Indy loves playing with a variety of toys, and especially loves bones, rope toys, and toys with squeakers. She'd love a home with a yard to run around in and continue to explore the world. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, and playful pup, Indy is the one for you! Indy's adoption fee includes a personalized training program.

Story
Pike is an absolutely amazing dog. Very sweet and at times anxious, but a big teddy bear. He enjoys walks and is trained on e-collar and prong collar. He loves ear scratches and belly rubs. He also loves a good squeaky ball to play with and fetch. He knows sit, flat, shake, and up. I have had him since he was 12 weeks old and he has never lived anywhere else. I am unfortunately going through a divorce and he falls on the restricted breed list for apartments. He enjoys long walks and a large backyard as he is a big dog and has a ton of energy. He had initially been crate trained but was not tolerating being left at home in a crate (he had figured out how to break a standard crate and even broken the door off a working dog crate). He has never been around cats but has been raised with another dog his whole life. He also has experience around little kids and does okay with them, usually he just gets up and leaves the space.

$50 fee will come with some of her supplies! Dollie is the sweetest girl in the world, but she is very scared of humans that she doesn’t know (also very small children - does okay with children 8yo+). She loves hiking and is so good at it! She’ll also play tag with you, it’s her favorite game! She loves other dogs and is super social and playful. She loves her human(s) and is very loyal and protective of them. She loves cheese and anything Lambchop!
