Story
HIGHLIGHTS:-Needs an adult-only home or with children older than 15-Needs an active family#### Hi, I`m Cash! I`m a 3-year-old male German Shepherd, weighing in at 67 pounds, and I`m looking for my forever home. At first, I can be a bit shy and nervous when entering new places, but once I feel safe, my friendly and curious nature shines through. I stick close to anyone I`ve deemed a friend, and I’m known to be a loyal companion. When I`m near someone I trust, I lean in for support, showing just how much their presence means to me. I’m likely to become your Velcro best friend, always by your side. I can be quite talkative and opinionated, especially when I have something important to say in the kennel. I’m a bit tentative with other dogs at first, but I warm up quickly and soon start to interact and play. I have a bit of a fear of missing out (FOMO), always watching the action around me and wanting to join in, even if I’m a little cautious about it. I love going for daily walks on a leash and would also make a strong hiking buddy, ready to take on adventures with you. Whether I’m the only dog in your home or have a trusted canine friend, I’ll be happy as long as I’m with those I love. If you’re looking for a loyal, protective, and adventurous companion, I might be just the dog for you. Let’s explore the world together and make unforgettable memories! Love, Cash* * * *Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Meet Bette: A Gentle German Shepherd with a Heart Full of PotentialBette is a shy girl who takes her time warming up to new people and environments. Loud noises and sudden movements can make her a bit nervous, but once she’s had a chance to size you up and decides you’re trustworthy, she’ll willingly approach for attention. Her cautious nature speaks to her resilience, and with patience and love, she’s ready to form a deep bond with her new family. She walks on a leash, though she can still be a little hesitant in new situations. Bette needs a family that understands her sensitive nature and is willing to give her the time and encouragement she needs to grow in confidence. This sweet shepherd has so much potential to blossom into the loyal and loving companion she was always meant to be. Could you be the one to help her shine?- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Meet Britta: A German Shepherd Ready to BlossomBritta is a beautiful German Shepherd who is still finding her way in the world. She walks on a leash but remains cautious around humans, as she’s still figuring out who she can trust. Sudden movements or loud noises can make her nervous, so she needs a calm and patient home to help her build confidence at her own pace.Britta thrives with the companionship of other dogs and would do best in a home with a more confident dog to show her the ropes and help her feel secure. Though she’s shy right now, with time, trust, and gentle guidance, Britta will surely blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Are you the family who can help Britta find her way and discover the joy of being loved?- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Story
Meet Hanna: The Observant German Shepherd Ready to BlossomHanna is a reserved and gentle German Shepherd who prefers to observe her surroundings and take in the world at her own pace. She’s a thoughtful girl, quietly watching the action around her rather than diving right in. Slowly but surely, Hanna is starting to approach people outside, but she will need time, patience, and kindness to learn to trust and find her confidence. In playgroups, Hanna is more of a parallel player, peacefully coexisting with other dogs but not yet romping and playing. She thrives on routine and structure, and another confident dog in her new home will be essential to show her the ropes and help her learn how to embrace her new life as a loved and cherished companion.Hanna walks well on a leash and will benefit from daily walks or exercise to help her build trust and strengthen the bond with her adopter. A secure 5-foot fence will be required to keep her safe as she continues her journey to confidence. This sweet, observant girl is looking for a patient home that will give her the time she needs to understand she is safe, loved, and free to trust her human companions. Could your calm and caring home be the one to help Hanna flourish?- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Story
Hi, I`m Pooka! I`m a playful boy looking for an active, mature, and patient home! I was mainly outdoors but am noted to be potty and crate trained. I am pushy with other dogs so slow and respectful introductions are important. I have lived with a kitten, but did like to chase it, so may do best in a home without cats and other small animals.
