Story
Ghost is a 2 year old pure breed German Shepherd. He is highly intelligent and loves to use his paws as hands as if he were human. He is very energetic and needs to either be walked or a large backyard to do zoomies in. This is the last thing I wanted to have to do but I don’t have a choice. He deserves better than I can give him right now. He is trained with basic commands but understands everything you are saying. Great with kids and other dogs. Not so good with skunks but hopefully he learned his lesson. Very loving and protective but not aggressive in any way. He will make a great best friend to someone that’s going to love him like he needs.

Story
Highlights: -Could do well with kids -Could do well with other dogs or as only dogHi, I'm Sage, a six-year-old female German Shepherd weighing 95 pounds. I'm an extremely friendly and personable girl who loves making new friends, both human and canine. Around the shelter, I'm known for my bubbly personality and heartwarming smile.I do need to lose some weight, but it's tricky because my back hips cause me discomfort. I'm looking for a family who can help me find alternative ways to get some exercise that don't cause me pain. Despite my size, my heart is even bigger, and I'm ready to win yours and keep it forever. Are you the caring family who can help me stay healthy and happy? Let's share smiles and create beautiful memories together!- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Meet Greta, a 67-pound German Shepherd with a heart as big as her calm, gentle nature. She's the kind of dog who's always ready to be your loyal companion, offering quiet comfort and endless patience as she sits by your side, soaking in life's simple moments. Greta would make an excellent confidante, always happy to listen and never tell a soul. She loves the outdoors, especially feeling the warmth of the sun on her back during peaceful walks. At the shelter, she enjoys playing with her dog friends but would be just as content being the only dog in her new home.Greta has been waiting since May for someone to recognize her sweet spirit and give her the forever home she truly deserves.- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Hi there, I’m Goyo! I’m a playful boy looking for an active, mature, and patient home. I love playing fetch and enjoy tasty jerky treats. I’m house and crate trained, but I’d really benefit from some training classes to help me adjust. I need a home without cats or small animals because I can’t resist chasing them! If you’re interested, don’t forget to ask for a free consultation with the staff before adopting me. I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Hello! I'm a sweet and shy 13yr old boy who wants a calm household. I would not do well living in an apartment/condo/townhome, but I would excel at keeping your yard free from critters. I play nicely with other dogs, and don't let my age fool you...I still have plenty of pep in my step! I can't wait to love you! I am very timid with new people. I need an adopter who can commit to multiple meetings over time before I could come home with you. Loud noises are scary so a calm and quiet living environment with only one or two adults would be best for me. I would not do well living in an apartment or shared wall situation. I need a fenced yard. I'm crate trained and dog-door trained! I love to play with other dogs. I'd love a dog friend to play with me and a big back yard to run around in. I need a quiet home with only one or two people. I love to work for treats! I need to have a house with fenced in yard. I don’t have experience being around cats. I don't like loud noises. Children are often loud, so I prefer to not be around them. I would do best in a home without children. I’m shy but I love relaxed and loving people. I’m crate trained and dog-door trained!

Story
Indy is a shy 10-month-old German Shepherd mix. She is very smart and food motivated and would benefit from continued training to build her confidence. She would do best in a patient and experienced home where she can learn to trust her humans. Once she learns to trust you, she is very sweet and loves nothing more than snuggling and going on car rides. Indy would like a home with another social dog as she loves playing with her dog friends. Because of her shy demeanor, she would do best in a home with adults only, and no children under 13. Indy loves playing with a variety of toys, and especially loves bones, rope toys, and toys with squeakers. She'd love a home with a yard to run around in and continue to explore the world. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, and playful pup, Indy is the one for you! Indy's adoption fee includes a personalized training program.
