Story
Meet Shakira, a German Shepherd whose "Hips Don’t Lie" and has a heart full of love to give. This laid-back lady is the perfect match for those who appreciate a mellow vibe. Shakira isn’t driven by food but rather by affection and belly rubs. She’s all about lounging around and soaking up the love from her people. Shakira gets along well with other calm dogs. She would be great with an older dog or a dog who loves lounging around as much as her, but ideally a male dog. She’s crate trained, house trained, and knows basic commands. She is also great on car rides. Shakira is still working on her leash manners but she is very smart and is showing progress. At this time, we are looking for a home WITHOUT kids for Shakira.  If you’re ready to add a sweet, easygoing companion who loves a good cuddle and belly rubs, Shakira is your girl!  ##2177802##

Story
Brodie is ready to win your heart, become your shadow, and bounce alongside you wherever you go! Whatever you do, he’ll be looking at you with stars in his eyes and a floppy tongue, and leaning his sweet head into your hand or lap.  Brodie is quite the lovebug protector, patrolling the house and yard, and always standing just in front of his people. Brodie has most of the major commands perfected, is potty trained, and is crate trained. He sleeps through the night and hasn’t shown separation anxiety when in his crate. While Brodie is chill most of the time and loves to cuddle up with you on the couch and nap, he has some pretty crazy zoomies - especially after the bath! Brodie would do best in a house without young children, as he can play a bit rough and gets a bit chompy when riled up.  Brodie hasn’t demonstrated any problems with other dogs, and as he decompresses he’s relaxed into having his foster sibling sniff around his food. While Brodie doesn’t want to share toys yet, he plays well with other dogs when the toys are removed.  ##2290904##

Story
Hi there my name is mighty Max, and I truly think I might be the goodest boy in all of Colorado! My foster mom says I am very polite and will sit and wait patiently before eating and going outside. I love to bury my head in my peoples lap and look out the window at people or dogs passing by. However, I don’t seem to bark much and am okay being left alone. I am crate trained but can be trusted with free roam (as long as you’re okay with me being on your couch or bed). I’m good with other dogs and kids, and walk well on a leash. Loud noises such as cars do make me nervous but otherwise I love to sniff around and go for walks! I am a good mix between active and chill, I really just want to do what my people are doing! I am house trained and overall a very easy, loving, and polite companion. I am eagerly waiting for my forever family, please inquire about me! ##2290715##

Story
Hi, my name is Fiona, and I am the sweetest love bug you will ever meet! I want to be upfront with you about something important—though I have so much love to give, I do have a heart condition called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). This means that one of the blood vessels in my heart didn’t close as it should have after birth. My cardiologist believes I have about 3 years to live, but I’m not letting that stop me! Every day is a precious gift, and I’m focused on filling it with joy, snuggles, and hoping to find someone to take me on the best adventures life has to offer me. I spent my early years living outside as a breeding dog until I was rescued! Now I’m living my best life as an indoor pet, and I’ve adjusted beautifully to the soft life. I love snuggling up in cozy dog beds, munching on treats, and using my plushy toys as pillows when I sleep. I am house trained, can sit, and walk wonderfully on a leash. My foster mom says I’m the fastest learner when treats are involved!  I’ve been on some great adventures with my foster family—hitting breweries, hiking mountains, and playing with their friends' pups. I’m very gentle and polite with everyone I meet, even saying hello to small children at the breweries! I would do wonderfully in many environments: whether with a family with kids, an adventurous couple or single person, or even with a homebody—just as long as I have people to love and cozy dog beds to nap in, I’m one happy pup! Are you looking for a loyal, snuggly, and sweet best friend? If so, let’s meet—I can't wait to be a part of your family! ##2250912##

Story
Hi there! I'm Lavender, but my foster mom likes to call me Lavvy. I’m a sweet, gentle soul who is still learning to trust that the world can be a safe and loving place. I am petite at just 40 pound and everyone likes to tell me how pretty I am! I was rescued from a shelter in LA during the devastating fires, and my journey brought me to Colorado. Since arriving, I’ve discovered how much I enjoy walks, spending time with other pups, and cuddling up with my favorite toys. I’m house trained and crate trained, and I love following my foster mom around because she’s my safe space right now. Right now I think men are a little spooky, but I would be fine with a female and a male who can show me that I can be loved by both. I can't wait to find my forever home where I can continue to work on my confidence and let people love me the way I deserve to be loved. ##2313832##

Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are mixed breeds. We never guarantee the size, breed, or temperment of any of our puppies.  ##2045185##

Story
Maximus is a 1 year old German Shepherd / Belgian Malinois mix. He's very healthy and has a beautiful coat. He has a good demeanor but is a very strong dog and would need an experienced owner. We just completed an 8 week training (once a week) with a high end training company. Max did well and is relatively obedient, but he is a strong willed dog and will need continued training and structure. Right now Max lives in a condo with no yard. We walk between 15,000-20,000 steps a day! Max barely breaks a sweat. He would do well on a large property, or a home with a large backyard. Another dog would also be good where they could wrestle and play and get out a lot of energy. Max is a natural guard dog. He will become protective of his property and family. He's a good dog but make sure you know understand the Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd breed. These dogs need a lot of stimulation, structure, and exercise. I'm happy to answer any questions. Thank you

Story
I adopted Rocky at 14 weeks from life line puppy rescue. He is a German shepherd mix, not positive on his mix. He is a Super sweet boy and is now 7 months old. I just am unable to give him what he needs. I am a single mother and rocky and my son get along great but my son is 5 and doesn’t really understand the amount of exercise I need to be giving Rocky. Rocky is also starting to get jealous when I’m with my son. Rocky deserves to be able to go run and walk more than I can provide, He is very sweet, very active though so he needs someone who can provide a lot of attention and exercise! I have all the toys and everything you need. I have been training him he knows sit, down and is working on stay. This breaks my heart but I want him to be happy.

Story
Gus is a 5 year old German Shepherd/Pit Bull Mix. He's great with my other dog and cat, but he takes a little while to be introduced to new dogs. He does better with smaller dogs and females. He's a good boy, I just can't quite give him a rewarding life as I always have to leave him behind. He's really smart, has a great nose, and loves woman.

Story
I have two dogs that need to be adopted together. One is named Howl The other is named Roxy. They both need to go together. They have been together their whole lives. They are very good dogs but we can;t keep them now because of our landlord because we just moved into a new place and our new neighbor is complaining about people having dogs next door. There is no rehoming fee. I just need to be sure they're going to a very good home and where that home is 720 618 0898

Story
MAX would make the most amazing ESA for a children's hospital or a senior living home! MEET MAX THE PERFECT ONE! He is a 6-year-old Dutch Shepard mix with beautiful bright dreamy eyes who thinks he’s human and loves everyone that he meets. His sister and her puppies were pulled from the shelter, and he was left behind for two years and became the house pet of the shelter, and everyone adored him, but it is time for him to find a new home. He has a gentle and kind soul. Spent time with a 87 year old mother and was very calm and respectful. He doesn’t need another doggy to be happy but acclimates if there was another doggy. He doesn’t need an active family just a family that wants a doggy to love. He thinks he’s 10 lbs. but weighs 60 lbs. He extremely friendly to other dogs and loves children. He walks perfect on a leash and loves to talk long walks and does not pull responds well to directions. His foster family loves him dearly and would love the opportunity to share more stories about MAX! Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $185.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this wonderful girl part of your family, please follow the link below to our application. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BCAR/Dog
