My back legs are starting to give me some trouble, so stairs are a challenge, but my curiosity and love for life arent slowing down! I still walk without assistance, and I come with a wheelchair and plenty of supplies to help with my needs. Im hoping to find a kind angel who has experience with pets like me or is willing to learn. Physical therapy might help slow my condition, and Id do best in a home with carpeting. Im a bit of an independent gentlemanI mostly keep to myself and prefer to be the only dog. Though nervous and stiff during drying, he handles it well. Shows mild dislike during nail trimming but is never aggressive. She is approximately 3 years old and weighs a petite 17 pounds. Found as a stray and taken to a local shelter, she was discovered cuddling happily with her kennel-mate, showing her friendly nature towards other dogs. Even though she must be in considerable pain, Little Miss Peebles is full of energy and affection. She rode home nicely in the car and eagerly explored the park during a potty break. Her first afternoon at her foster home was spent exploring every nook and cranny and enthusiastically chewing on toys. She has a hearty appetite, having inhaled a large lunch and even managed to sneak some of her resident dog brother's dinner. After her adventures, she loves to cuddle and take naps with her foster mom. Little Miss Peebles needs some work on potty training and using the dog door. Besides her ears, she has some skin conditions that need attention and will need to be spayed. She has a long road ahead until she is medically cleared. During this time, she will be evaluated for compatibility with kids and other dogs. We'll also work on getting some weight on her and assessing her training needs.

Thankfully, the wonderful team at Church of Pug rescued me, gave me the care I needed, and after orthopedic surgery, Im now thriving in my foster home. During my recovery, I was on crate rest for a month and behaved like a dream. While my leg has healed, I do have a slight limp, but dont let that fool youIm overflowing with love! Im also very gentle and get along great with people, other dogs, and even the grumpy old chihuahua in my foster home has warmed up to me. Cats? No problem! And Ive been tested with older kidsI absolutely adore them! Im also potty trained, as long as Im let out on a regular basis. No accidents for me, just love and snuggles! As a smaller pug, Im the perfect size for cuddling, and Im happiest when snuggled up with a human or furry friend. While I can manage alone time, I really need to have a buddy to hang out and cuddle with, so Id thrive in a home with another friendly dog. I may be an older lady, but the vet says Im in good health! They say I have got a strong heart, good vision and hearing, and certified lover girl. Really, he said that! I am working on my house training but no accidents as long as I go out every 3 hours or so right now. Hoping to improve those numbers with time.. I am living proof you can teach an old dog new tricks. I came from a home where they didnt really train me because they said I could get by on my good looks. I am working hard on it though and hope youll be patient and help me out. At least I dont have any bad habits? Your garden is safe from digging and I wont chew on your shoes! I am already really gentle and loving so I dont need any training on that kinda stuff. I just want to be with you 24/7, preferably your lap but Ill take a dog bed as backup if youre busy. I have many siblings so Im awesome with other dogs and getting along with my new foster siblings just fine. I am fine being left alone for longer periods of time because I have them with me. I also like kids and cats too!
