With his soft coat and expressive face, he turns heads everywhere he goes—but it’s his sweet nature that really wins people over. Meechi is an easygoing, well-mannered boy who fits right into family life. He’s: Great with kids Friendly with other dogs and even cats House trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a doggy door A good walker on leash A big fan of car rides (he’ll happily be your co-pilot!) He’s truly an “all-around good boy” who enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing, whether that’s heading out on an errand or relaxing at home. Meechi can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but with a little patience and a gentle approach, he warms up and shows his loving, loyal side. If you’re looking for a unique, affectionate companion who’s already got great manners and a heart full of love, Meechi might just be your perfect match. Interested in becoming a forever home for Meechi? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $850. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Story
Greetings drool enthusiasts! Did anyone order a mini corndog? Doesn't matter - I'm here anyway and ready to become your best friend for life. My name is Butters, and I'm looking for a forever family that can dote on me and treat me like the princess I am. I arrived at Animal Aid after being found wandering around outside without a person. Nobody claimed me, and it appeared that I had been used for breeding for quite some time. My mammary glads still look kind of funky, but my motherhood days are well beind me. I'm incredibly friendly with all people of all ages. I truly cannot get enough lap time and pets. I'd follow you around all day if I could, but I also don't mind being alone for moderate amounts of time. I'm even crate trained! I could still use a little help with potty training when I'm in a new environment, but I'm 75% there and will use pee pads if they're available to me. I would strongly prefer to be an only animal in my forever home. With a reeaallyy slow intro I could be ok with another chill dog, but cats are too tempting to chase, and I really want to be the center of attention. Nobody appreciates an assertive woman anymore! I prefer napping and burping over zooming and wrestling. Overall, I'm pretty low energy. It doesn't help that exercise makes it hard for me to breath. Yanno, Frenchie stuff. Speaking of that, my breed lends itself to more health issues than other breeds, so be prepared for some extra TLC when needed. I do enjoy leisurely walks and short bursts of play. I don't mind getting all my nooks and crannies cleaned out, and I'm very easy to take on car rides. Sometimes new environments are a little overwhelming, but I'm very resilient and adaptable. As soon as I recover from a dental, I will be ready for adoption! In the meantime, you're still welcome to put in an application and even foster-to-adopt. Interested in meeting me? Please fill out an application at animalaidpdx.org. Est. DOB: 4/1/2020 Weight: 30lb
