Story
Meet Moxie – A Gentle Spirit with Quiet Strength 💫🐾 Formerly known as Sophie, this stunning 10-month-old Feist mix is now officially Moxie — a name chosen to honor the quiet courage and resilience she’s shown in her young life. At just 29 lbs, Moxie may be small, but her name reflects the quiet strength and sweet determination she carries in her heart. Coming to Sunny Bear Rescue on April 12th with the help of The Scott County Humane Society, Moxie was surrendered along with several puppies from a home overwhelmed with too many animals. Despite that, she’s remained calm, loving, and remarkably gentle. Moxie is the kind of dog who melts into you for cuddles and rests her head on your shoulder like she’s known you forever. She’s wonderfully quiet, incredibly affectionate, and friendly with people, dogs, and even cats. She’s had some vetting at the shelter and will be fully spayed by 4/7. We’re still learning more about her day-to-day routines, but she’s already showing signs of being a fantastic companion with a steady, mellow energy that would fit beautifully in many types of homes. Moxie’s name is more than just a label — it’s a promise of the brave, loving dog she’s becoming. Disclaimer: Without a DNA test, the breed listed is only our best guess based on the animal’s appearance and any information we currently have.
