Story
Meet Foxie, the ultimate cuddle buddy and social sweetheart! Foxie is an incredibly loving dog who gets along with everyone she meets—people (including kids) and dogs alike. Her gentle, affectionate nature (after some playtime!) makes her the perfect companion, always ready for a hug or a snuggle session. Foxie is active and loves to run and play with kids, dogs, and her humans! Whether she`s splashing around, playing at the dog park, or just relaxing at home, Foxie is sure to steal your heart. Note from foster: `Foxie is wonderful, very playful and active. She loves to play chase and fetch balls and sticks!``We plan to return Foxie to the shelter on Monday. She`s been a (mostly) fun companion, but we`re going to take a short break from fostering. Here is what I would say about Foxie:1. She`s very loving, friendly, and gentle. She showed no signs of aggression to the neighbor dog, and seemed to want to play, though the other dog was not interested. When indoors, she always wants to be where you are, and if you don`t want to play she`ll happily rest at your feet or her nearby bed. Unless you let her climb into your lap, which she will try to do!2. She loves to chase almost anything - balls, sticks, ropes. Once she gets it, she wants to play keepaway mostly, running away if you try to take the item back.3. Even without an item, she loves to play chase, running wildly around as I pretend to try to catch her.4. She seems perfectly housebroken - she had no accidents in the 2+ weeks that we`ve had her.5. She tolerates the crate well. While she is sometimes reluctant to enter it, once in she relaxes and is content to stay there.6. She seems to be completely recovered from the wound on her left rear leg. I didn`t notice any sign of her favoring the limb.7. Her leash behavior is good.8. She doesn`t seem to be a digger. Her one downside is that she likes to chew inappropriate things. She must be constantly monitored. She doesn`t seem interested in shoes, but she`ll get into trash cans, loose papers, small boxes, and the like. Outside, she`ll chew live plants. So, if we have to leave her alone, she has to go into the crate. Overall, she`s a wonderful dog and will make a fine pet for someone.`Note from volunteer friend, `She’s extremely nice, and easy.`Adopt this sweet girl today and experience the joy of having her by your side!
