Current Location: Maurertown, VA Meet Farah, a bold little firecracker with a big personality packed into a compact, Jack Russell–style body. This girl is confident, outgoing, and absolutely full of life. She does nothing halfway. When Farah is awake, she is ready to move, think, play, and be heard. Farah is extremely energetic and thrives with frequent activity, mental challenges, and clear structure. She is very vocal and has strong opinions about when it is time for fun, attention, or training. She loves people, engages fast, and brings an intensity that is best matched by an active household that enjoys working with a smart, driven dog. She is highly food and praise motivated, which makes her an excellent training prospect. Farah wants a job and she wants feedback. With consistency and outlets for her energy, she will shine in training, games, agility style activities, or any environment where her brain and body are kept busy. Because of her volume and determination, Farah would not be a good fit for apartment living. Current Location: Lusby, MD Meet Ragnar, lovingly called Rags. He is one of those quiet souls who gently steals your heart. Rags is a little timid right now, but you can see the confidence building every day. He has been wonderful in his crate and enjoys having his own space to relax. After a few early nervous dribbles, he has had no accidents in the house and is already settling into a routine. He is still on the thin side, but his appetite is strong and treats are quickly becoming a favorite part of his day. He recently met his foster’s resident dog and did great. He was cautious at first, then curious, with that full body wiggle that says he wants to be friends but is still figuring things out. He is friendly and affectionate in his own gentle way, standing back at first before sneaking in for a quick pet. Rags will need some leash practice and help learning his basic commands, but he is eager, sweet, and clearly ready to learn. Watching him discover safety, kindness, and consistency is already a joy. With a little patience and a lot of love, Ragnar is going to blossom into a truly wonderful companion.

Rocket Man is a dog with a strong personality. He is short and stocky, making him stand out among other dogs. Rocket Man enjoys being in control and likes to be the boss of the pack. He craves attention and loves being around people, always seeking out affection and playtime. However, his assertiveness can sometimes lead to him bullying less dominant or submissive dogs. Despite this behavior, Rocket Man's loving nature and need for human companionship make him an ideal companion for an active and experienced dog owner. He enjoys running around with other dogs at the dog park. With proper training and socialization, Rocket Man can become a loyal and loving pet who will always be by his owner's side. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a whoot. 😂 As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience. When they are together, if they see other fur babies they get really excited and like to bark. Which is probably, how they survived on their own for so long as a way to protect themselves being so small and older. Even though Skipper eventually warms up to new dogs, it takes a while, and he would probably be happiness as an only dog in his next home. Skipper is very much loved in his foster home.
