Story
Sweet Sienna was found dumped in the country by a good samaritan. Our organization took her in and she is looking for a loving, forever home. Sienna is only about 2 years old and pretty small, weighing 34lbs. Sienna loves to play with other dogs, big and small! She has the cutest tiny little ears. She is a water dog and has a great time playing with the water hose in her foster home.Sienna is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative************************Sienna is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at https://bit.ly/HOTNADOPTUSAAdoption process:Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption. ##2122589##

Story
SOCIAL MEDIA HASHTAG: #thatradar Radar is a handsome, 37lb, 4yr old guy (Jan 2023) who is quite charming. He has an extremely sweet nature, is gentle when taking treats, and gives very soft kisses. He also has the best ears! He's a little afraid when he meets new people, but he obviously wants to be loved. So in meeting Radar he'd need to be approached gently. He does warm up fast when you don't force yourself on him, and at that point he's very snuggly and affectionate.  Radar is extremely intelligent and learns quickly. However, he is NOT to be trusted off leash, as he bolts at the first opportunity of an open door. He is energetic, so he'll require a safe fenced yard to play in, and he'd LOVE a canine buddy to chase and wrestle around with - He LOVES dogs (NO cats)! He is crate trained and house trained, and he rides well in a car. He loves to go on car rides, but he can get a little nervous when out and about. However, he does relax in time. He is also protective of his food, so we're working on this, as well, and making progress. As a result, it's best for no young children under the age of 16 to be in his new home. Radar is an super hugger and will wrap all four legs around you, resting his head on your shoulder. He also loves to jump up and wrap his front legs around your waist, snuggling his head into your waist. He always wants you to know that you're loved.  He is a very playful guy, a super fast runner, and so enjoys sharing this with his doggy best friends. However, his new canine friends will need to be tolerant of his rough housing, for despite his little body, he is a go getter! His mouthiness for other dogs is a little too much for some, so it's important that another dog is accepting of this. He's just a silly, active boy that loves to play, play, play! Yet he is so well behaved indoors...he's such a great little guy! He just needs the right home that accepts his energy and high levels of play, as well as continue working with him on meeting new people. He does fine with meet and greets in his home, but out and about he becomes a little more hesitant on new friends. We have a lot of fun with this little happy fella, and we know his new family will, too - he just needs that special someone willing to accept his energy and fears. He's truly a sweet natured boy and as cute as he can be. If you think you're interested, please let us know!  ##465975##

Story
Marty came to us late one night after being attacked by a large dog. The owner gave him up. Marty was found to have old and new injuries from dog attacks and a stomach full of rocks. Marty had spinal injury and was unable to stand or potty. Through wonderful vets and foster mom Marty has made a miraculous recovery. Marty can walk, run, swim, jump, play, pee, and poop with control. Marty will always have a weaker back end than normal dogs and is on glucosamine. Other than that, he is happy, healthy, and very loving dog. Marty walks on leash and rides very well. He is house trained for the most part but may have an accident if not able to go out. His special need is awareness of his weaker back legs, and his need to glucosamine. He is fine with his foster moms' small dogs but has had issues with larger ones. He is also food reactive with dogs. He has not been around cats. With Marty's fear of some dogs, we feel it's best for him to be the only dog in the home. **Adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, vet visits, deworming, and shots. ** Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org
