Story
Rocket Man is a dog with a strong personality. He is short and stocky, making him stand out among other dogs. Rocket Man enjoys being in control and likes to be the boss of the pack. He craves attention and loves being around people, always seeking out affection and playtime. However, his assertiveness can sometimes lead to him bullying less dominant or submissive dogs. Despite this behavior, Rocket Man's loving nature and need for human companionship make him an ideal companion for an active and experienced dog owner. He enjoys running around with other dogs at the dog park. With proper training and socialization, Rocket Man can become a loyal and loving pet who will always be by his owner's side. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Baby Noelle (NOE1224ALAFD)Estimated Breed:  Feist/Collie mix Approximate Age: 3 monthsApproximate Weight:  15 LBS  Currently Living at:  Foster  Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Meet Baby Noelle! This bundle of cuteness came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is a scary place for a little puppy, fortunately she has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and landed a nice foster home. Noelle is now ready to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Noelle is very sweet and great with other dogs. She can be a tad shy at first but warms up very quickly.  She will need another pup in the home to help her with her confidence.  If you are looking to add a playmate for your current dog, she would be an amazing addition!  At her young age, Noelle is in her prime for training and socialization too. If you're looking for a companion who will love you unconditionally and bring a sense of joy and companionship to your home, Noelle is the perfect choice. She's waiting to share her love and sweetness with a family that will cherish her as much as she will them. Submit an application today and change this very deserving girl's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi there! I'm Milo, a small dog with a big personality. When you first meet me, and I'm just heading out for my walk, you'll think I'm a bundle of energy. But once you spend more than 5 minutes with me, you'll see a much calmer side. I walk nicely on leash, but I do get a little excited when I see other dogs and may pull a bit. Anyone lucky enough to know me always ends up smiling when we spend time together. I love playing one-on-one with another dog, but I prefer not to be part of a large group and I think I would be best living without another dog. I definitely am WAY TOO interested in cats, so I would do best in a home with no feline friends. One of the wonderful volunteers here has taken me out a few times and says I'm a wonderful dog. Sometimes, I get a little excited when getting my harness on, but once we're out on the trails, I walk great. I love it when the wind blows and I can catch the scent of something in the breeze. I listen well and don't pull on the leash. I could walk for miles and enjoy every moment of the fresh air and smells. I've also been really LUCKY to spend some time in a foster home, and they have great things to say about me! Despite my wiggly demeanor at the shelter, in a home, I'm actually more of a couch potato. I LOVE being in a home! I enjoy playing with plush toys while my foster takes videos (keep scrolling past my bio to see all the awesome videos)! I do need to be supervised in a fenced yard. My foster home has a 6ft fence and my foster said I've never attempted to find a way out, but my foster mom is always in the yard with me. So why would I want to be anywhere else but with my people?! I'm a very sweet little dog, and I'm looking for a family who can match my energy and give me the love and training I deserve. Come meet me, and let's see if we're a perfect match!

We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
