Story
Female, 2 years old, 30 lbs
Personality: snuggler, playful, energetic, goofy/funny, and affectionate.
Meet Lanie, a lively and loving pup with a personality as big as her adorable ears! This spirited girl is always on the move, eager to join you for a day filled with play and adventure. Whether it's a long walk in the park or a game of fetch, Lanie is up for anything that gets her tail wagging.
Lanie plays so well with other dogs at the park that even pet owners comment on her polite demeanor! When the excitement winds down and she's gone home, Lanie transforms into the perfect snuggle buddy, ready to curl up next to you and shower you with affection.
But it's not all about fun-Lanie is a smart cookie, too! She's nearly mastered potty training and responds well to words like "sit", "down", and "here." She's a fast learner who even understands directions in both English and Spanish! She's gentle when taking treats and loves playing with her toys.
With her playful antics and loving cuddles, Lanie is a delightful companion looking for an adopter who shares her zest for life. Are you ready to welcome this energetic bundle of joy into your home? Apply today to meet Lanie!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
