Story
Cal is a neutered male Dutch Shepherd (relative of the Belgian Malnois breed). He is a neutered male, about 1 year old. He is very high energy, and leap vertically about 7 feet in the air from a standing start. We adopted Cal from the local Humane Society shelter and within a day he had bonded closely with everyone. So much so that he has a slight problem with separation anxiety. The perfect new owner would be someone who understands how to train high-energy, working dogs like this.

Story
My name is Tikki! I'm named after a pup in Paw Patrol! Could also be named happy, because just seem to have a happy smile when playing or cuddling. I'm very sweet love people and kids of all ages. I am good with cats too. My leash skills are pretty good for a puppy and rarely have an accident, so I'm pretty much potty trained. I love to play with toys. Treats are a favorite of mine. If you are interested in my please complete the application. I am located in San Antonio, TX, but my adoption fee includes transport. I come fully vetted to age, fixed, microchipped and will get a health certificate before I travel if adopted out of state

Story
Skid is currently in a foster home at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport from one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Skid is a male, possibly Dutch Shepherd/Plott Hound mix and is around 20 months old. ~55-60 pounds -Tested Heartworm Negative December 11th. -He came into the shelter of July 2023 as a puppy and deserves more than life in a shelter. He is our longest term resident and deserves a home for Christmas. He was homeless last Christmas. -Skid does well with other dogs. -He has been to multiple public events and seems to do well with children. -He loves people as well and walks well on a leash. -Can be a tad shy at first but warms up quickly. -He loves to take toys into his doghouse in his kennel and play with them. -Walks well on a leash. -Can be cat tested if needed -He was just professionally groomed and did a great job! -Video of Skid: https://youtube.com/shorts/IWq1HqJdjnw?feature=share Skid is neutered, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test, on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $550, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost. Story
HI -I'M NOMI! I'm a 5-year-old lovely Dutch Shepherd-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and a sweet face. I was rescued from a California shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs, though I can get jealous at times. I would probably thrive as an only dog where I could get all of the attention, or hang out with a submissive male. I weigh 68 pounds. I would love a new home this year! Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Meet the coolest canine companion in urgent need of a foster or adopter- 4-year-old Cody! Cody is a mix of shepherd and lab and likely a few other breeds- but he is a handsome and happy conglomerate of them all. Cody is unfortunately seeking a new home due to no fault of his own- but because of a divorce. We are seeking an immediate foster or truly forever home for this most deserving boy! Cody’s family loves him like crazy but no longer has the ability to keep him as a family member. Cody is such a lively companion. He loves people and other dogs and is super social and friendly. Cody is submissive and playful with other dogs and has spend the last few years around children over 10. Cody is sweet and affectionate after a very short period of initial shyness. He will roll over for belly rubs when he greets his people and is super happy to see you and bounds with excitement. Cody loves the dog park and also loves his daily walks. He has medium energy and is generally pretty mellow. He likes to get exercise everyday (as do you!) but otherwise is very happy to relax and hang out inside or out. Cody can be trusted in the house during the day and is not fond of the crate. Cody would enjoy having his new people who were around a lot or retired or worked from home too. Cody loves his people! Another doggie friend would make him super happy too. Cody makes a very good doggie companion. Cody’s current home does not have a cat, but when exposed to kitties he has been indifferent so we think a cat household would be fine with proper introductions. Cody knows his basic commands and he listens well. He is leash-trained and exhibits no toy or food aggression as well. Cody is food motivated and smart, so his training is easy. Cody loves car rides and will politely sit in a seat or in the back without any fuss. He’s a great travel partner too! Cody still loves to run which is why he’s every owner’s dream at the dog park; he leaps like a gazelle too! Cody is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and micro-chipped and he is available to meet in Tacoma. If you have love and attention for this 65lb love bug, please email Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com. If you want to get a jump on fostering adopting, here’s the link to the adoption form too: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/N1V88edh02ForIB30gCf2
