Story
She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
My name is Lil Man aka Deuce. Deuce for two since I'm getting a second chance at life after being in the shelter. My foster Dad says I'm living life to the fullest and trying really hard at forgetting my first life. I'm still shy around some people but my foster has been teaching me to be less fearful of strangers. I would love you to help me with slow introductions when I meet new people. People always say how beautiful my brindle coat is. I'm very smart and will sit and speak for my treats, I am learning to play ball and will jump in the air to get it! I'm still working on the bring it back all the time, every time. But I'm working on it! I get along well with other dogs and I'm a great watch dog. I like to make sure my people are safe and taken care of. I love being outside in the sun and playing with my dog foster siblings or other dogs. I love the yard and think being outside is swell. When I come inside I'm a very good boy and don't get on the couch or jump on people. I do like to give little licks and kisses to the people I feel safe with. I have a zest for life and like to go for walks and runs and to play in the river. I'm potty trained and stay out during the day in the sunshine. I always try to ensure the squirrels know I'm the bosss. At night I like to sleep inside with my pals. Whoever adopts me will have to be a little patient and continue working with me on my shyness at times. New things are scary and I need you to show me it's going to be ok. My perfect home would have a nice, fenced yard, and maybe a doggy door so I can go in and out on my own. I'll probably do better with another dog in the household, I really like friends. I would love someone to play fetch with me or take me to the river and swim. I don't mind baths at all either, but I sure don't like cats! I like to keep my food just for me and don't really like to share. I know basic commands and will sit for a treat, or two. I would love to meet you and your resident dog and make some new friends!

Story
Let me introduce you to Lilly Tayda, this girl can best be described as the quiet person at the party that is actually going to be the best connection and share the best conversation with. The role of “life of the party” isn’t what she is auditioning for, there is only so much room for those. She would best be suited for the role of, warm-hearted shy one. Sure, initially she may come off shy but as you get to know her you realize, she likes to get to know the people she spends time with, and for her, knowing is loving. This is a companion dog, content at your side and appreciative of everything, especially the small stuff like snuggles and treats. In rescue breed and age are offered as educated guesses given we do not know a dogs history but we believe Lilly Tayda is about 2 years old and is possibly a Pittie/Black Mouth Cur mix and she weighs 53 lbs. The perfect size for hopping in the car and being able to see out of the window with no trouble at all. Lilly is a perfect putzing-around gal, whatever way you spend your time, she will be happy to be there. She isn’t going to demand attention but she will quietly check-in for some affection, follow along occasionally, before finding a cozy spot nearby to lay down. She responds positively to a connection and comforting presence without needing constant reinforcement or praise. Basically, Lilly will be happy to keep you company without getting in the way. Lilly Tayda currently lives with other dogs in her foster home, a small spicy Chihuahua and a similar sized dog to her. In addition the dogs, she also lives with a cat who she has been mostly avoidant of. Lilly doesn’t need dogs to feel happy so she is a great candidate for only-dog life if that is what you are looking for. When we introduced her to new dogs, she was happy to spend time with them but didn’t make much of a connection or show a playful side. Even though she didn’t play with any of the dogs she was introduced to, we think with time and the right connection she could show you and her new friend, a more playful side. Lilly Tayda’s dream home? That is more about who is there, than what. Sure a yard is great for soaking up the sun, but what she really wants is someone who can understand that love takes a little time and is happy to give her that time. What’s on the other side is sweet, loving, loyal and attentive girl in search of love and snuggles. So worth it! She has a quiet nature, with her foster sharing that she is both house and crate-trained, along with quiet in her crate. No whining or barking here, she enjoys her crate so its nothing to worry about. Wherever she calls home she is going to show you the depth of rescue-dog love. It feels amazing to be on the receiving end of something so true and moving. Ready to welcome Lilly Tayda nto your life? You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED This beautiful brindle boy hasn’t found his forever home yet! Juno is a 3.5-year-old, 60lb Shepherd mix found as a stray in CA. Although his appearance is a mix of stunning with a hint of intimidating, Juno is a very sweet and loving boy! He loves to be out exploring with his person and would make an amazing adventure companion, especially for someone who enjoys the outdoors! He is very sweet with his handler and will sometimes jump up to give a hug out of excitement of just being with his person. He will be a very loyal dog to whoever adopts him, and is looking for a person to call his own! Juno will need an active family with a standalone home that has a yard for him to run and explore. He is incredibly smart and will thrive with adopters who will continue his training and provide him the physical and mental stimulation he requires. He is very smart however, and learns quickly! He already knows sit, down, and “happy spin” when being fed. Juno can be somewhat selective about other dogs and wouldn’t mind being the only dog. However, he could do well as an additional dog to a home with a proper introduction and proper boundaries set in the home. He walks incredibly well on leash, and would love to find his forever home soon that can appreciate how amazing he is! Juno is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and not tested with cats. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to this gorgeous boy, Falcon! He is a ~2 year old, 75-80lb Dutch Shepherd mix who came to us after possibly being dumped with a group of dogs in CA. He is hoping to have a better shot at his perfect family in WA! Falcon is a sweet boy and enjoys adventuring with his people. He walks well on leash and would thrive in a home that continued basic obedience and enjoyed being active with him. He is affectionate and loves spending time with people. He has been okay with other dogs in our care but we are still getting to know him since he is new to us. If you are interested in this sweet boy and have a dog in the home, we will schedule a meet to ensure the pups get along great prior to adoption. He would likely be best suited with dogs that are similar in size to him. Falcon is on the waitlist to be neutered, is UTD on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.
