Story
Cal is a neutered male Dutch Shepherd (relative of the Belgian Malnois breed). He is a neutered male, about 1 year old. He is very high energy, and leap vertically about 7 feet in the air from a standing start. We adopted Cal from the local Humane Society shelter and within a day he had bonded closely with everyone. So much so that he has a slight problem with separation anxiety. The perfect new owner would be someone who understands how to train high-energy, working dogs like this.

Story
Matilde (we call her Maddie, Matilde, or Tilde) is a sweet energetic and friendly dog. She’s about 2 years old We have a young son and another baby on the way and are having trouble finding the time to play or cuddle that Maddie deserves. However, she is the best dog i have ever seen with kids. She will let our son pull her ears, poke her face, stick his fingers in her ears eyes and snout, and will never ever show any aggression or care in the world about it. She is hard for us to deal with because she jumps our fence and is very excited by other dogs. We’re are very hopeful to find someone with time and space for Matilde to have fun and get love.

Story
My name is Tikki! I'm named after a pup in Paw Patrol! Could also be named happy, because just seem to have a happy smile when playing or cuddling. I'm very sweet love people and kids of all ages. I am good with cats too. My leash skills are pretty good for a puppy and rarely have an accident, so I'm pretty much potty trained. I love to play with toys. Treats are a favorite of mine. If you are interested in my please complete the application. I am located in San Antonio, TX, but my adoption fee includes transport. I come fully vetted to age, fixed, microchipped and will get a health certificate before I travel if adopted out of state

Story
Skid is currently in a foster home at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport from one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Skid is a male, possibly Dutch Shepherd/Plott Hound mix and is around 20 months old. ~55-60 pounds -Tested Heartworm Negative December 11th. -He came into the shelter of July 2023 as a puppy and deserves more than life in a shelter. He is our longest term resident and deserves a home for Christmas. He was homeless last Christmas. -Skid does well with other dogs. -He has been to multiple public events and seems to do well with children. -He loves people as well and walks well on a leash. -Can be a tad shy at first but warms up quickly. -He loves to take toys into his doghouse in his kennel and play with them. -Walks well on a leash. -Can be cat tested if needed -He was just professionally groomed and did a great job! -Video of Skid: https://youtube.com/shorts/IWq1HqJdjnw?feature=share Skid is neutered, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test, on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $550, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Olympia, WA Buttercup is a spunky , sweet girl . She is most likely German Shepherd but could easily be a mix which we can’t identify. DOB 9/24/24 she’s a 25# lumbering puppy running and playing with creative grace. She’s VERY happy and loves everyone. She plays well with the big dogs and respects those who are smaller. Cats hold little interest; they don’t play back! After a few rounds of fetch, she loves to touch base with a lean into your legs so you can pet her silky soft ears. Have I mentioned how smart this girl is? In a short time, she has become a pro at “sit” and “leave it.” When called, this food motivated girl eagerly sprints back , ears flying . Buttercup is very affectionate and loves to go places, leash walking is a cinch for this pup. When night rolls around, Buttercup goes into her crate with little fuss, ready to potty outside when morning arrives. We are working on house training during the day and this bright girl is picking it up fast. She is probably going to get to be about 65-75#. Buttercup would be a wonderful addition to any family. This is a wonderful family dog. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
