Story
Max is a Dutch Shepherd and approximately 3 years old. He is a typical Dutchie in many ways. He is very toy driven and loves a game of fetch. When excited he's mouthy and will def give you the love nibbles. He is not interested in making many human friends outside of "his" people, but as long as he is under control/guidance of his handler he does fine. This means that he isn't the life of the party when people come over or the dog that is going to be pet on by strangers. He bonds with his people and is so goofy and fun to have around. He is mostly house and crate trained. He requires a fenced yard to enjoy. Max does know basic obedience. He is dog social but prefers females. He will require an adult home. No cats please. He is healthy and happy and would be great for an active pet home or a hobby sport pet home! Interested families can submit applications for adoption on our website- www.k9Justiceleague.com.

Story
Kat is in FOSTER. If you are interested in meeting her, please reach out to PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOVKatanya really is a special, cool girl. She’s strikingly beautiful with her lanky gait, goofy paws and smushy Labrador face. She brings you a toy every time she sees you, carrying it around while wagging her big tail and leaning on you to snuggle. She’s smart, sweet, curious about everything, easy to train and would make someone a super loyal buddy for daytime adventures and night time snuggies. She’s a special, big goofy happy girl!• Kat is fully house trained• She’s good on the leash, really awesome to walk. Excited to take walks in the neighborhood, smiling as she meets people and dogs. She has learned to politely sit to the side and let people pass on the trails. She’s not interested in squirrels. In neighborhoods and stores she will need someone vigilant on the leash due to her fear of scary things like forklifts and garbage trucks. • Knows ‘sit’ ‘wait’ ‘okay(release)’ ‘good(encouragement to hold)’. Lots of excellent, long eye contact.• Loves to snuggle, a total lap dog• Sensitive to her owner, checks on you alway• Excellent in the bath, hops right in, stays still• Good with other dogs, both male and femaleBecause she’s a big puppy her playful energy can overwhelm some dogs so some correction on over-playing may be needed, depends on the other dog’s tolerance level.• Doesn’t care about cats - or squirrels.• Plays with her toys on her own (self entertained)• Non-destructive, even though she’s young• Sleeps through the night• Loves to play fetch, is super clumsy at catching but her bounding around trying is adorable• A total water dog, enjoys lakes, I can see endless days in the summer swimming everywhere.• Plays in spray of water hose, gets zoomies after• Good in the car• Pokes her nose out the car window, enjoying the wind in her nose and all the smells.• Only barks when strangers come to the door - not even at neighborhood dogs barking at her.In her fenced yard she spends a lot more time now out on her own exploring and hanging out, but she can still be a bit skittish with neighbor sounds.Afraid of little kids, but ok with calm, older teens. Trainer is confident this can be continue to be overcome with time and patience. For now no babies or small children.Home meets can be arranged with foster.
