LOVES RESTAURANT PATIOS TO GET ATTENTION AND PUP CUPS  Est. DOB 4/8/18, weight 62 lbs. Beautiful Lucy, a gentle, loving girl who is great with children, enjoys car rides and walks in the neighborhood where she is on squirrel patrol! She especially enjoys going with her mom to dog-friendly café’s with outdoor seating where she gets to soak up the wait-staff’s attention and perhaps have a pup cup. She loves playing tug-of-war in the backyard with any dog toy, and she occasionally goes to the dog park and doggy day care. Lucy is looking for a new home now that her mom has downsized to an apartment and no longer has a backyard for Lucy to run around in. She was rescued from the street -- a car wash to be exact -- when she was just a youngster and has lived with a small dog ever since.  Lucy’s ideal home would be with a family who would include her in family outings such as trips to the kid’s baseball games or walks along the bayou walking trails. At the end of a busy day, she loves nothing more than relaxing and some quiet downtime with her people. She would enjoy living with another easygoing, calm, small/medium-sized dog friend. Or she could be a solo girl, but no cats, please.   HOPE ID D26-0225-0013 Lucy’s $200 adoption fee includes the spay, vaccines, microchip, negative heartworm test, negative fecal test, and monthly prevention for heartworms and fleas.  To apply online, go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php.  Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Lucy will be at this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
Adorable puppy Hansel was found dumped in a park by a busy freeway in Houston. He was picked up by one of our volunteers and scanned for chip. His then owner was contacted several times but he refused to claim him. Hansel was taken to a foster home where he is having a great time with his new buddies. Hansel is quiet, respectful, super sweet and highly intelligent pup. He gets along with everyone. When he was abandoned, he was running to every person, trying to find his human, and was very trusting of everyone. We cannot imagine why would someone abandon such a great pup. However, someone else is going to be very lucky finding an incredibly sweet and quiet forever friend in him. Hansel is only 6 months old, weighs about 24 lb, fully vetted, neutered, and kept on preventatives. He is housebroken and is leash trained. To meet this sweet baby in person or via facetime, please send an application via www.savesomesouls.com. Yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. He is currently in Texas but can travel to any state, including Canada to the right home. Hansel's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and Harness. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

I was left in front of an abandoned store to fend for myself. My luck changed, however, when some kind humans got me to safety. I am a young and active guy. I would love a doggie friend or even a jogger to take me out. I do know a few commands, am in excellent health, and can't wait to find my forever family. I have not met cats yet.

Hi I'm Savvy!! A super smart and loyal friend looking for an active human to hike, jog, and camp with. I love lounging equally and won't judge if we just do a lazy day Sunday as well. Heck, I'll even wear your favorite team's jersey! Just don't forget the chips and snacks because I enjoy those too! Other dogs are fine and just give me a minute to get to know them; after that, it's all fun!

These pups are in West University Place, Texas too!

Story
Ozzy is an incredibly sweet and gentle German Shepherd with a heart full of love to give. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he quickly shows just how affectionate and devoted he is. Ozzy loves giving kisses and will even offer you his paw as a way of showing his appreciation—it’s one of his many charming traits. He is very loyal and obedient, the kind of dog who truly bonds with his person and wants to be by your side through everything. Ozzy is what many call a “velcro dog,” happiest when he’s close to his humans and part of the family. He’s also very smart and picks up on things quickly, whether by watching or being shown, making him a joy to have around. Ozzy is calm and well-mannered, and he gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, even very small ones. He has no prey drive and doesn’t react to other dogs barking at him, which speaks to his easygoing and gentle nature. He enjoys meeting new people, going on walks, and soaking up all the belly rubs he can get. He is fully potty trained and has great house manners, making him an easy addition to a loving home. Ozzy was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas and is now ready to find his forever family—one that will give him the love and security he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will stick by your side through it all, Ozzy might just be your perfect match. 💛 Ozzy is 4 years old, weighs 62 pounds, neutered, microchipped and up to date with all vaccines including heart worm and flea protection. He is ready for his new home! Please open your heart for this sweet soul who wants to be part of your family. Ozzy is being fostered in Texas, and can travel to any state, and even Canada to the right home. To adopt our puppies, yards must be fully and adequately fenced. Sweet girl Shaney is a bundle of energy, who loves to have zoomies and jump on her human for some affection. Sweet Shaney was rescued from a high kill pound of Houston where she had notes favoring her puppy energy. Shaney needs a fully fenced yard to thrive, or a playful second pup who can keep her busy. She is about 40 lb, and will not grow bigger. She is current on her vaccination, spayed, is microchipped and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventatives. Ivy is currently being fostered in Houston, but can be transported to any state in USA or Canada. To adopt our puppies, yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences. To meet this sweet girl via video chat, please send an application available at savesomesouls.com, Her adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. Story
4 yo Belgian malinois mix Maddox and her 2 year old malinois sister Mel lost their parents, their homes, and siblings to divorce and overnight, her world collapsed. Maddox is a super sweet, almost perfect pup. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She lives with dogs, a kitty, and two small children, and gets along with everyone. She does love to play fetch, but mostly she is very quiet for her breed, and prefers chilling with her foster family, than play with her doggie foster siblings. Maddox tends to be a bit more reserved and enjoys her own quiet space. Maddox is housebroken, crate trained and very affectionate and better suited as a companion than a high-drive working dog. Maddox weighs 60 lb and is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, heartworm negative and kept on proheart 12. She loves to sunbathe, and snuggle. The sudden change in their situation has been very stressful to Maddox, so we would definitely like to find her a home where she gets lot of love, and affection. Maddox is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet our gorgeous pups via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
