Story
Hi! I'm Emmett! I'm an approximately 6 month old, male, Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix. I was found on 10/14/2024 off 276 and Jones in Rockwall County and never reclaimed. I consider myself a big, strong boy with a dazzling personality. I love to be silly and love to run and play. I get along well with my brothers but if you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters to date and heartworm negative. Since I am so young, meet and greets will be scheduled by approved application only. Please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch with next steps!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. November 7, 2024, 6:34 pm

Story
Violet is a love bug to her people, but cautious of others. She takes her role as her family's protector very seriously. She is thought to be a German shepherd and golden retriever mix with maybe some border collie. She was born July 25, 2023, weighs 53 pounds, is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, HW negative and on preventative. She sleeps all night in her crate and is house trained.   Violet loves to cuddle like a baby with her humans, play with her chew toys, going on walks, and would love to have a doggy friend to play with. She does okay with cats, but does try to herd anything that moves faster than a walk whether it is another dog, cats, other animals or people both young and old. She sees any type of fowl as a chew toy so would do best in a home without pet birds or chickens. Her ideal home is one where the mom or dad work from home or part time.  Please remember that puppies need a lot of time, patience, positive reinforcement, training and love. If you have that to give and want to meet Violet, please request an application! A fenced yard and vet reference are required. We adopt in the DFW area only (within a 1 hour's drive from Terrell) as we deliver our pets to their new homes.

Story
Dolly (along with siblings Emmy Lou and Waylon) was abandoned in a rural area and rescued by a Good Samaritan. Now in a foster home, she is a happy, roly-poly puppy who is house and crate trained and is doing great on leash walking. She loves to play with her siblings and give kisses! Her ideal home is one where mom or dad work from home or part time. We originally thought Lab/Shepherd mix, but her legs are staying short and her body is long so maybe some Dachshund too! She was born 6/25/2024, is fully vaccinated, been wormed, had flea prevention and already on HW preventative and microchipped. Her adoption fee includes her spay when 6 months old .She has a spay appointment January 6th. That procedure will be performed at our vet in Terrell. Please remember that puppies need a lot of time, patience, positive reinforcement, training and love. If you have that to give and want to meet Dolly, please request an application! A fenced yard and vet reference are required. We adopt in the DFW area only (within an hour's drive from Terrell) as we deliver our pets to their new homes.
