Story
I got Buddy from Austin animal Center as a 10 month old puppy. I have had him for a little over a year. He is a very sweet but energetic dog. He is more energetic than he first appeared. Due to medical issues and living in an apartment, I am unable to exercise him as much as he needs. He would do best in a house that has a backyard that he can run around and play with another dog. He rarely barks, doesn’t bite and is very playful with all other animals. He is crate trained. He also has a life time training thing set up with bark busters. He is currently going through training at PetSmart. He knows sit, paw, down, place, go to bed (crate), middle (go in between my legs), still working on tuck (go underneath my legs, chair or table).

Story
Introducing Zay! Zay came to APA from the Austin Animal Center. He was an owner surrender at AAC because he kept trying to escape his owner's yard. The former owner kept Zay as a backyard only dog for ten years and did not neuter him. Zay was neutered at AAC, which should decrease his inclination to roam. Zay did not have an optimal home environment for ten long years, unfortunately. But that life is now over! Zay is now house-trained, leash-trained, and he knows "sit" and "shake." He's very treat-motivated, and he warms up quickly to new people if tasty treats are involved! Zay is heartworm positive, which will be fully treated by APA. At 80 pounds, Zay would do best with older kids, but he can be paired with a well-matched dog friend! Come meet this older gentleman today!
