Story
Meet Saint – A True Survivor Ready for His Forever Home! Saint is a stunning Catahoula/Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his story. This handsome boy was rescued from a local shelter after being found all alone with a severely broken leg. He was in desperate need of medical care, and thanks to the quick action of Legacy Humane Society and the loving care of his foster family, Saint is now fully recovered and thriving! Now healed and full of life, Saint is ready for his next chapter—with a forever family who will love him as much as he’ll love them. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and fantastic with people and other dogs. (He hasn’t been cat-tested yet, but we’re happy to do so upon request.) Saint is an energetic, athletic pup who lives for playtime. He’s a fan of fetch, tug-of-war, and zoomies, so an active home (and maybe a playful canine sibling) would be perfect for this spirited guy. He plays hard and loves harder! &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Vetting Info: • Neutered • Up to date on vaccinations • Microchipped • Heartworm negative DOB: 4/23/24 &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 45 lbs  Adoption Fee: $125 If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal, loving, and playful pup, Saint is waiting for you! Story
She’s seven months old currently and is full of life and energy. Very alert and attentive to surroundings when out on walks/runs. She does not chase or pull on the leash when she is out on the trail and other people and dogs pass by. Does not bark at other dogs either. She’s a lover for sure and always wants to make sure everyone is okay. Loves to play with pull toys, especially tug of war. We took her in at two/three months old. She does think that she is still small, so her affection sometimes turns hugs into tackles, but lovingly given.

Story
We believe Dottie to be a strong Dutch Shepherd mix with those ears! All of her 9 pups inherited those ears too. Her pups have already gone into rescue. Now it's Dottie's turn for a forever home. At first , Dottie was scared of everything and everyone, hiding in the dog house whenever her foster was present. She would even take her food dish into the dog house to hide to eat. She LOVES  other dogs! She now plays, polices the yard and goes in and out of the house. She crates very well and walks on a leash. She Is sweet, still a little shy, but loves to be petted and loved on. She needs slow introductions to new people because of her shyness, never has she shown any aggression. She will do great with a loving, active family. Please give Dottie her chance at a forever family. https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. ##2418677##

Story
Chazz is a 9-year-old Dutch shepherd. He is intelligent, energetic, excited, loving and kind. He adores big open spaces, running and long walks. He loves to be right by your side as much as he can and does tend to suffer from some separation anxiety. That being said, I am away from home 10 hrs. per day, and he does fine at home alone until I get back.     As amazing as he is he does have his issues. Chazz does not get along well with other dogs. So, any living situation would require that he be in a single dog home. Additionally, he gets rather frightened when the smoke detector goes of causing him to shake and potentially get inside the bathtub.     Chazz is a quirky fella who is full of energy and youth even in his adult age. He would be best suited in a home with a large yard or even a ranch. He still responds well to training and listens quite well to commands. I’m positive that with some eager attention and care he would be an amazing hunting dog or ranch companion.

Story
Looking for you ride-or-die soulmate-the kind who sticks by your side through every season of life? Kennedy might just be your girl. She's a survivor with a heart of gold. In 2018, Kennedy was rescued from a shelter where she endured Hurricane Harvey in an outdoor cage, facing 140 mph winds. Whatever came before that storm, she's never let it define her. Kennedy is resilient, wise, and full of love. For the past six years, she's been more than a pet, she's been a steady companion, a hiking partner, a sunset-watching sidekick, and a quiet comfort during hard days. She's snuggled through tears, celebrated joyful moments, and made solo walks feel like shared adventures. Kennedy doesn't just live in your home--she lives in your heart. Kennedy's ideal home is peaceful and loving. She's not a fan of chaos or high-energy dogs, and she's grown less tolerant of small or bouncy pups. She'd thrive as your one-and-only or with other big dogs who respect her space and vibe. She is ready for her next chapter, a home where she can be someone's best friend, protector, and partner in quiet joy. If you're looking for a dog who truly sees you, Kennedy is waiting. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Kennedy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.March 21, 2026, 12:23 am

He is housebroken and crate trained. He may whine briefly when first placed in the crate, but he settles quickly and does fine. Story
Cash came to the rescue when the shelter sent him to have his fractured leg amputated at our vet clinic. He had been shot, and we have no idea of the other abuse he had suffered, but he is initially afraid of new men (fine once he learns they mean him no harm). While he is not an aggressive boy, he acts as if he could tear into someone, which can be off-putting. He is fine with women, loving, outgoing, and cuddly, especially with his foster mom. We are helping him work onhis fear, which can/will be resolved with patience and TLC.Cash lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone, large and small. He is playful and happy, can be as gentle or rough as needed, depending on who he is playing with. He walks fine on a leash and is good at going for rides when he gets a chance. He is crate trained and asks to go out if needed between potty breaks. He generally has good house manners, except when he counter-surfs for food when the opportunity presents itself.Cash is fully vetted, current with vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.
