Story
Hi, I'm Sienna! Age: Approx. 2 years Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 52 lbs Breed: Dutch Shepherd/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Favorites: Toys, treats Energy level: Moderate Training: Will sit for treats, appears potty trained Other important info about me: When I came to the shelter I had severe, painful infections in both ears. Can you believe it? My best feature! Thankfully, the nice people here and at Barber’s Hill Animal Hospital gave me some treatments to get rid of the infection, but that meant I had to stick around for a while before I was ready for adoption. Now I’m ready to find my forever home and proudly showing off my beautiful ears! I am goofy, playful, and love making new friends. I appear to get along well with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time. If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an adoption inquiry through this listing, email mbas@montbelvieu.net, or call us at 281-214-9045!

Story
LOVES RESTAURANT PATIOS TO GET ATTENTION AND PUP CUPS  Est. DOB 4/8/18, weight 62 lbs. Beautiful Lucy, a gentle, loving girl who is great with children, enjoys car rides and walks in the neighborhood where she is on squirrel patrol! She especially enjoys going with her mom to dog-friendly café’s with outdoor seating where she gets to soak up the wait-staff’s attention and perhaps have a pup cup. She loves playing tug-of-war in the backyard with any dog toy, and she occasionally goes to the dog park and doggy day care. Lucy is looking for a new home now that her mom has downsized to an apartment and no longer has a backyard for Lucy to run around in. She was rescued from the street -- a car wash to be exact -- when she was just a youngster and has lived with a small dog ever since.  Lucy’s ideal home would be with a family who would include her in family outings such as trips to the kid’s baseball games or walks along the bayou walking trails. At the end of a busy day, she loves nothing more than relaxing and some quiet downtime with her people. She would enjoy living with another easygoing, calm, small/medium-sized dog friend. Or she could be a solo girl, but no cats, please.   HOPE ID D26-0225-0013 Lucy’s $200 adoption fee includes the spay, vaccines, microchip, negative heartworm test, negative fecal test, and monthly prevention for heartworms and fleas.  To apply online, go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php.  Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Lucy will be at this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
Adorable puppy Hansel was found dumped in a park by a busy freeway in Houston. He was picked up by one of our volunteers and scanned for chip. His then owner was contacted several times but he refused to claim him. Hansel was taken to a foster home where he is having a great time with his new buddies. Hansel is quiet, respectful, super sweet and highly intelligent pup. He gets along with everyone. When he was abandoned, he was running to every person, trying to find his human, and was very trusting of everyone. We cannot imagine why would someone abandon such a great pup. However, someone else is going to be very lucky finding an incredibly sweet and quiet forever friend in him. Hansel is only 6 months old, weighs about 24 lb, fully vetted, neutered, and kept on preventatives. He is housebroken and is leash trained. To meet this sweet baby in person or via facetime, please send an application via www.savesomesouls.com. Yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. He is currently in Texas but can travel to any state, including Canada to the right home. Hansel's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and Harness. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Miguel was found tied to a pole at a middle school here in Houston. He was only 4 months in 2024. My friend saw him and told me about him and, despite my busy schedule, I wanted him! Miguel is such a funny dog. He has a big personality and loves to play. He enjoys baths, balls, and bullies (his best friend is a pit bull). He likes long walks and long naps with his plushies. I'm looking for a home that will allow him to continue to enjoy the little pleasures but also be patient with him because he does have a big spirts of energy, but he really is a chill dog when the energy has dissipated some. He's very affectionate too, so give him lots of pets and hugs and forehead kisses.

Story
I was left in front of an abandoned store to fend for myself. My luck changed, however, when some kind humans got me to safety. I am a young and active guy. I would love a doggie friend or even a jogger to take me out. I do know a few commands, am in excellent health, and can't wait to find my forever family. I have not met cats yet.

These pups are in League City, Texas too!

Story
Breed at Heidelberg German Shepherd Kennel. Meet our handsome seven-year-old purebred German Shepherd Kizmo who’s ready to find his forever home! 🐾 This loyal and intelligent boy is the perfect mix of calm maturity and playful spirit. At seven years old, he’s past the puppy chaos but still loves daily walks, games of fetch, and spending time with his favorite humans. Like many German Shepherds, he’s incredibly devoted to his family and naturally watchful, making him both a wonderful companion and a loyal protector. He’s a strong, healthy dog with the classic German Shepherd look—upright ears, a beautiful black-and-tan coat, and soulful eyes that show just how smart and loving he is. He thrives on companionship and would do best with an owner who appreciates an intelligent, active breed and can give him the attention and exercise he deserves.
