I'm a great snuggler so much so I have to be the only animal snuggling. I'm great with kids, love to take long walks and chew on my peanut butter bones. I need a forever home where I am the only one being spoiled. At the facility I enjoy my time in the yard and long walks. Lacy is a 6-month-old, 17-pound Dutch Shepherd/Chihuahua mix puppy. We know for a fact that mama was a Chihuahua because we took her in along with two puppies. Dutch Shepherd is our best guess for the father, but he could have just been a handsome stranger! Our best guess at her weight when she’s full-grown is about 25 pounds. She has beautiful brindle coloring and a very sweet disposition. She lives in a house with 6 dogs (all sizes), 5 cats and people, and she loves everybody! Lacy loves to lay next to you and get belly rubs. She will follow you everywhere. She is crate-trained and very close to being fully house-trained. She loves her toys and will toss them in the air and catch them endlessly. Outside, she loves to play zoomies around the yard with the other dogs. Lacy’s adoption fee is $275 and includes spay, all shots & microchip. She is heartworm-negative and on heartworm medication. Story

Look into Scooby‘s eyes, and you will see a longing. He would love to have his owners come and reclaim him, but since that doesn't seem to be happening, he's wanting a family to love. He promises to love them back. Scooby is a three year old 76 pound shepherd mix. He arrive at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/23. He was brought in by one of our officers. He has two open sores on his hind thighs but they seem to be healing. When he first got out in the yard he did a lot of smelling. He had to check everything out. Then he came back and hung out with me. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He's very affectionate and gives kisses. He had a slight pull on the leash, but then he wanted to get out in the yard and do his business. I'm pretty sure he's housebroken because when he got out into the yard it was obvious he had saved it. He seemed OK meeting most dogs, but with one there was a slight growl. I don't know that it was anything but we always suggest if you have another dog to have that shelter do a dog test. Scooby is gentle, calm, sweet, well mannered and friendly. He wants to be an inside dog so he can spend more time loving on his new family.
