I got Buddy at 9 weeks old and for the first 4.5 years of his life we were together all day everyday. The bond we have is beyond what I can put into words. I started working in an office and he was going to daycare 3 days a week, since getting married, we cannot manage that expense. I now have two stepdaughters and just welcomed a daughter in June. Allergies for my family is an issue and he spends most of his time outside. Even with making time for him a priority, it is so far from what he was getting when we were together all the time. I don’t want him to just have a trip to the dog park some evenings, I want him to have more, to get more attention during throughout the day. The only reason I am giving him up is because of how much I love him. Letting him go will be devastating, but the knot in my stomach that I feel everyday knowing that he is not getting the life he deserves. He is a very gentle and kind dog, and so smart. He LOVES to play, especially at the dog park.

Is anyone missing an approximately 6 month old, male, Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix? He was found on 10/14/2024 off 276 and Jones in Rockwall County. No chip, no tags, no collars. He will be on stray hold for 72 hours to allow his owners time to claim him. If you recognize him, please call the Rockwall Adoption Center at 972-771-7750 ext 2 so he can get home safely. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm.
