Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, rescueme.org or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we will get back to you in a few days. ***Please check your Junk/Spam folder for reply e-mails from us, if it's been more than 72 hours*** Meet Spud, Milano (Millie for short) and Chili (adopted), they are 6mth old litter mates, Dutch Shepherd, Boxer and Rottweiler mix's. They were from a hoarding home, where there was 11 adult dogs and 12+ puppies. They are housebroken and loving. Our Millie just got back from, foster care and we found out a lot. Millie and Spud are both a little leery of men, but their confidence is building, they do love and are comfortable with our male employee. Both Spud and Millie had not seen each other in 6wks and when they saw each other it was made clear they are braver, happier and more confident with each other than they are separated. They would love a home full of patience, kindness, and understanding, someone who is willing to let them decompress and adjust to their new home. Both Millie and Spud are absolutely the sweetest dogs and don't have a mean bone in their body, they just need an adopter much like our team members, who is willing to give them what they need, full of routine and space. We are so thankful to Millie's foster family for giving her a wonderful place and verifying what we already suspected, that these two need to be adopted together. Both dogs are laid back, love to play with toys, they are not high energy and listen well. My adoption fee is $300 (each), includes: Spay/Neuter, vaccines, dewormer, Heartworm/Tick testing, microchip, flea treatment and a 1lb bag of puppy food. 1. Do you own or rent? If you rent you will need authorization from your rental company prior to meeting our puppies. 2. Do you have a private fenced yard? If not, what is your plan for potty breaks and exercise? 3. Do you go hiking, jogging or do physical activities that she can be a part of? 4. How many people and age groups live in your home? 5. How many animals, types and what they are like! 6. Do you have time to continue basic training? 7. How many hours a day will they be alone? 8. Please tell us more about how they would spend their days and what activities you would plan! 9. Have you ever owned a shy dog before? If so, please tell us about it.

Story
Jumanji is a striking black German Shepherd mix who's about 4 years old. While his looks may say "bold and adventurous," Jumanji is actually a sensitive soul who can be a bit wary of new situations and people. He's looking for patient and understanding adopters who will give him the time and space he needs to blossom.Jumanji has a lot of love to give, but he needs to build trust first. He thrives on gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement. A calm and predictable environment will help him feel safe and secure. Because Jumanji can be protective of his space, he would do best in an adult-only home. He has also shown to be selective with his dog friends, so careful introductions will be key if there's another dog in the home. With the right family, Jumanji will make a loyal and loving companion. If you're experienced with dogs and can offer Jumanji the supportive home he deserves, please consider opening your heart and home to this special guy. Story
Jensen is a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is a bit of a mystery. He's quite nervous at the shelter but loves to explore his surroundings with his nose. While hesitant with people, he'll curiously approach to within a couple of feet before retreating, showing a conflict between his desire to connect and his fear. Jensen needs a patient and understanding family who can give him the space and time he needs to build trust. He's motivated by treats, which will be a valuable tool for building a bond and working on confidence-building exercises. A quiet home with a predictable routine will help him feel safe, and a family who can read his subtle cues and respect his boundaries will be key to helping him blossom. If you're experienced with fearful dogs and ready to provide a loving and supportive home for Jensen, please come meet him today to see if it would be a good fit. With the right family, this diamond in the rough will shine! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 65.8125 Age: 3yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Meeka is a gorgeous German Shepherd girl with a big heart! Like many German Shepherds, she can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but don't let that fool you! A few tasty treats and gentle words of encouragement will quickly melt her nervousness, revealing the sweet and affectionate companion within. German Shepherds are known for their intelligence and loyalty, and Meeka is no exception. She's seems to know the commands like "sit" and "shake," and with her eagerness to please, she'll be a quick study for any further training you might have in mind 📚 While she loves to strut her stuff on leisurely walks, remember that German Shepherds are an active breed. Providing her with plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation will be key to her happiness. A playful game of fetch in the yard or an engaging puzzle toy will keep her tail wagging. Meeka is hoping to find a patient and understanding family who will give her the space and time she needs to settle in. Experience with the breed would be wonderful, as German Shepherds often thrive with owners who understand their unique needs and characteristics 🧬 With the right family, Meeka will blossom into the loyal and loving companion she's meant to be. Offer her a safe and comfortable environment, and she'll reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love and devotion.🐾💓 Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 66 Age: 3yrs 1mths 3wks
